Newt's certainly not unapologetically in support of the individual mandate and abandoned the concept just as the Heritage Foundation did. Romney insists it's viable at the state level.
Rand Paul conveniently uses the lower case 'c' conservative on Scozzafava's opponent when he was actually not a Republican but a Conservative Party candidate. It's a slight of hand to make it seem Newt chose a RINO over a conservative Republican candidate rather than supporting the Republican nominee over another party's choice.
Newt has his own responses on the the individual mandate, TARP, lobbying and Freedie Mac, even Scozzafava
“Newt’s certainly not unapologetically in support of the individual mandate and abandoned the concept”
You sure about that?
This is a recent interview which directly contradicts his campaign propaganda:

From the Freddie Mac link you provided,
One of these small businesses, a consulting firm called The Gingrich Group, offered strategic advice on a wide variety of topics to a very wide range of clients. One of these clients was Freddie Mac.
What strategic advice did they get for their +$1.5 million?
>> “Rand Paul conveniently uses the lower case ‘c’ conservative on Scozzafava’s opponent when he was actually not a Republican but a Conservative Party candidate.” <<
.
Why do you leave out the reason for that?
RINO establishment leadership conspired to prop up RINO Scuzzafava, forcing the conservative candidate to run from a different party.
Sounds just like RINOs propping up Noot Romney now, doesn’t it!
So the deception here is, as usual, yours.
