Good Morning Folks!

Well, having watched the “debate” last night; it looks like they are leading forth all the lesser conservatives to prepare for the halal slaughter. Of course conspicuously absent are appearances by the Romulan and Noot...to be slaughtered later.

Of course, we have to endure another unsolicited lecture by McCain’s butt boy. (easily supplanted by a remote flick to some preferrable infomercial)

Yes, Rod; it’s called a Miter. My daughter is Altar serving and she will have to hold his miter and another kid will have to hold his staff or Croiset.

Wallace is banging on Perry’s gay-oriented commercial. Raises polling that the economy is the top concern of 70 percent of voters and social issues are 15 percent. Perry counters by mentioning his economic agenda.

Gov. Perry has handled himself very, very well.

He has addressed PerryCARE and the overruling
of his mandate honestly.

Despite FOX pimping Romney from the first slide,
calling him the ‘leader’, Gov. Perry has
rebutted the chief Romney-pimp Chris Wallace
over and over.

Beginning with Romney’s $10,000 bet and through
Wallace’s endless acting as the lawyer for
Obama while using outtakes of errors of Gov. Perry
when the governor was OBVIOUSLY exhausted
in the videos.
Shame on the shameless FOX News and Wallace.

==> The Winner:

Gov. Perry, today you showed your conservatism
and executive function.

We in Colorado can relate to your post today. If we cannot get the ideal candidate today we have to take what we can get for now and use the time in between to organize more and better for future elections.

The Ron Paul supporters understand this and have created their own cabal of supporters to push their candidate. Main stream conservatives have to do the same thing so we can win in the future.

For our RINO group, it’s easier to challenge an incumbent Republican than a Democrat and the Republican would be far superior to a sitting Democrat. IMHO, it’s dumb to lose elections to the Democrats when we could have won with a liberal Republican. Win what we can and use the time to educate and persuade others to support more conservative candidates in the future.

Now badgering Perry about prayer in school issue and Supreme Court decision.

The 1A cuts both ways obviously stating: >>Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;<<

Perry stating that Americans disagree with the SCOTUS decision, and would support a Constitutional amendment to change it.

It probably could be done easier than that...he would only appoint constructionist judges

This was bizzare. The Perry campaign has been very active in trying to counter Perry's comment about eight Supreme Court justices - and I was convinced myself, given the context raised:

Rick Perry forgets number of Supreme Court judges (Oops! The MSM flubs it ....again)

But on Fox News Sunday, Perry was asked about his inability to recall Sotomayor's name and the eight justices comment, and Perry said he knew there were nine justices, but had no idea how eight came out of his mouth.

So once again, he was not prepared for an interview or debate. He had an effective defense for his eight justices comment that his campaign had prepared, he had to know he would be asked about it, yet he stumbled and reinforced the notion that he is a bumbler instead.

Perry keeps snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Wrong, dirtboy.

Gov. Perry handled it perfectly.

First, he answered it.
That puts him above the rest, BTW.
Second, he addressed it.
C’est finis.

It is over for THAT strawman-Romney-MSM issue.
Better get over it.

I raised that point last night and got slammed. Its true however. And every time he does it the DBM repeats it a zillion times trying to take him out.

Meanwhile Graham may have stumbled on something that shuts the dems up on class warfare:

HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH MR. PRESIDENT

Hey Mitch!

We don’t care about any “bipartisan” socialist-bait compromises.

When the parties agree, the people get screwed.

Morning AB, All.

Pleasant December morning here in the swamps of Delaware. Busy week last week, busy one coming up.

Just a reminder ahead of time, should FreeRepublic suddenly get weird, just keep hitting the refresh key over and over. It’s been giving out this 404 message the last two Sundays, always during this thread, one of the most read threads on this forum given its years in existence and dependability. Which gives me a break to thank you AB, for doing this thread.

I wrote an article about the Sheriff and the councilman here in Sussex county. It’s going to be put on some (in)famous Delaware web sites. It’s a longish thing but full of a bit of sarcasm and it’s probably the only account of how it all happened, from soup to knees in the groin. the players feature sons of a famous military general and the current Vice-President.

If you’re a political junkee, this is a story for you, AND, it’s all true.

More on this later.

Currently watching Fox News Sunday, will now begin paying attention.

Front door is open and the sun is coming out. Even with the temp being 23 at the moment.

And yeah, conservatives here have to battle both Democrats and the Republicans who help Democrats on occasion get elected. Many of our top GOP leaders fall for it, helping a Democrat without realizing they are hurting the rest of us. It’s still about money and power for the political class, regardless of party.

Exactly right, bray.

Some of us have already been disappointed in one way or another. I wanted Sarah Palin to run and to win. When my governor, Rick Perry, entered the race I was torn because I really like him and think he would make an excellent president.

However, I stuck with Sarah until she opted out. So I’ve had a candidate all along who’s been misunderstood, maligned and mocked, but whom I knew to be a good man and a good conservative.

I’ve often said jokingly that Newt Gingrich was a dirty word on Free Republic only a few months or years ago and that someone could be banned under the profanity rule for even using his name.

However, he gained enormous popularity in the debates and became the front runner. I like it that he’s ahead of Romney now and I think Romney will have a very hard time regaining momentum.

I really liked Newt on the Palestine thing last night.

All the candidates seemed better to me than they have before, with the possible exception of Bachmann. I just don’t think she has substance.

I thought Perry was excellent and the most likeable person up there.

Thank the good Lord I had it on DVR so I could fast forward every time Diane Sawyer came on. Could that woman be more irritating? I don’t see how.

Please don’t anybody go off in a huff and vow not to vote.

We need that Obama person out of our lives, out of our government and, if we’re lucky, out of the country.
