Wrong. Perry himself put this issue back in play with his own comments here. He just never seems to prepare adequately for debates and interviews.

I love it when the Bishop comes. May be silly but I kinda feel blessed when I get his blessing.

I am so annoyed that I forgot Perry was going to be on Fox News Sunday and now I’ll have to watch the re-run.

Hope he took it to that supercilious bturd Chris Wallace... can’t stand him.

Can’t stand anybody much on the reporter side ... think that’s what gave Newt his initial bump, people loved it that he stuck it to the press and the questioners.

If you’re determined to see miscues, you will see miscues.

Newt talks so fast one can’t even catch his miscues if he makes any.

Thanks for this thread every Sunday AB...a must read every week for me. Could’ve sworn I heard on Fox that Romney was going to do his first ever Sunday Morning Talk Show interview today. Obviously I’m mistaken, unless he’s on GSN, more specifically Lets Make A Deal...do you want door #1, door #2, or door #3 (reply: which ever one gets the most applause, Drew). Interview ends..

HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH MR. PRESIDENT

Much as I hate to say I tole you so, it was a month or so back that I said that a good strategy for the Repubs would be to keep repeating over and over and over and over...well like you...HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

I've seen the most visceral of liberals shut up on the rare occassions when someone (never an elected Repub who is too busy reaching across the aisle with polished nails) asks at what percentage would you stop?

Say someone were to say....say...a John Boehner...however such a strange confrontation were to happen, but say a John Boehner were to risk mussed head hair and ask a Jeanine Garafolo that since the millionaires and billionaires now pay 53% of their income, and she thinks it should be raised....does she think 60% of their income would not be a fairer amount? Maybe 75%?

They always get tongue-tied when it's laid out that starkly. Cause us boobs out here in la-la land UNDERSTAND THESE PERCENTAGES! We know that whew, 53% of our paychecks would be a helluva lot, we'd sweat that they'd start going after US in those big percentages.

The Republican elect should be repeating this mantra every chance it gets.

Might lose them some invites to cocktail parties so it's a big gamble.

Uh, yeah, sure. Perry's miscues are all in my mind. Never mind his single-digit polling after being a front runner. Never mind that his polling sank after he started opening his mouth.

Newt talks so fast one can’t even catch his miscues if he makes any.

I guess that's what you have to claim since you can't point to a specific gaffe by Newt.

Newt does his homework. Perry doesn't. That is becoming clear.

I really liked Newt on the Palestine thing last night.

Yes, so did I.

Paul Gigot and Liz Cheny disagreeing with Noots position, I think they are wrong.

Screw the "invented people"...they can go to hell.

Newt handled being piled on about the marital issue pretty well.

He had no real defense because he’s got a little problem there but he stayed good natured and used the ‘I’ve changed,’ thing.

They showed Mrs. Newt in the audience and that is one tough looking babe. Not criticizing, just sayin’.

I’ve complimented Newt on this thread for what he said and did that I liked very much.

I believe you might do better to air your dislike of Perry somewhere else ... say on a Perry thread ... because the Sunday morning talk show thread has stayed wonderfully free of vitriol as a rule.

This is why Conservatives need to be ready to win with the candidate we have not the one we wish we had.
************************************************************

FINALLY common sense rears it’s head!! Read this all you “I’m taking my football and going home if I don’t get the candidate I want” fools!

FOX WEEKLY SUNDAY TEAM FOR ROMNEY
=====================================
FOX begins calling Gingrich a cheater.

Wallace, Chief Romney Pimp at FOX News Sunday
first itemizes every issue against Gingrich.

Paul Gigot - Puts Gingrich down
but compliments him regarding last night's debate.

Wallace takes over and protects FOX's beloved Romney.

Mara Liason - Re-itemizes every issue against Gingrich;
seems frustrated GOP likes Gingrich.
Eyes light up and really likes Romney;
wants and is looking forward to "Newt to implode".

Wallace interrupts and re-protects Romney.

Liz Cheney - Good analysis, including that Team Romney is
getting nasty now closer to the voting.
She then focuses on Gingrich's honesty regarding the Palestinians.
She notes the debates have been good for America.

Juan Williams - Good analysis that Romney is after Gingrich
. Tries to defend Romney with "baggage"-attack against Gingrich.
[ That word is used by the FOX group over and over.
Must have been on today's DNC-Romney-SOROS Fax.

Wallace segues and goes after Gingrich on the Palestinian invention issue.
Wallace quotes Elliot Abrams against the Speaker. Gigot likes that.

Ms. Cheney also agrees that Gingrich did well focusing on the issue,
but especially the rocket attacks.

Wallace interrupts the turnaround for Gingrich
and changes the topic to defend FOX's Romney
as the Chief Pimp lies purporting everyone will vote for the Moot.

Mara Liason (RomneyBOT in so many ways) smiles in agreement that
Romney is "most electable". [Nonsense. He loses all the real votes and polls].

Continuing on, Wallace pimps Romney to the end of the segment,
getting more outlanding purporting that Romney has, or will, saved the world and universe and whatever else must live in Wallace's mind.

Juan Williams agrees with the Romney commercial from Wallace
but notes poor Milt is "without passion".

Mercifully, the FOX-proROMNEY-24/7-Team takes a breather with a
commercial.

I actually ended up agreeing with the defense presented by the Perry campaign - that the eight justice comment was in the context of the 1962 decision. And said so on the linked thread.

And then Perry wasn't even prepared for Wallace's question - he should have said the eight justices comment was in the context of the Abington decision, since that is the position his campaign has prepared.

Instead, he just winged it. Again.

And it is hardly the first time.

You should do so, but my point is as was the point of the post I answered, whomever is the nominee, whether your choice or not should, MUST have your support in the general election.

Dirtboy cannot seem to control his disappointment that so many people thought Perry won the debate over the silver-tongued dude.

I was simply asking him to drop the vitriol as we kinda pride ourselves on this thread being one of comity.

But, yeah, he can say what he wants. I won’t respond to him again.
