Occupy Denver to Picket Colorado Walmart Distribution Center tomorrow.
Occupy Denver ^ | 12-11-11 | trteamer

Posted on 12/11/2011 3:59:46 PM PST by Trteamer

In response to rumors, lies, and hearsay that have circulated regarding the 12/12 Walmart Action, we, as the General Assembly of Occupy Denver and the planners of the action in Loveland, hereby reaffirm that the 12/12 Action is and has always been a non-violent action, and that we do not and have never condoned or sanctioned violence of any kind or the destruction of property.......

Considering the coordinated attacks on the Occupations and attacks on workers:

Occupy Denver stands in solidarity with our brothers and sisters who will be protesting the abuses of the economic apparatus of the 1% on Dec 12.

The wanton pursuit of profit at the expense of human values by multinational corporations with no local grounding has destroyed communities throughout the world, disregarded workers’ natural rights, eliminated production jobs in the United States and sweatshops abroad, and lowered the standard of living for all, only to enrich the wealthy by manipulating the laws and base corruption. At the same time, coordinated nationwide police attacks have turned our cities into battlegrounds in an effort to disrupt our Occupy movement, which is protesting this state of affairs while our politicians are neglecting the very serious issues we are raising.

We call on every occupation to organize a mass mobilization on December 12 in support of the actions taken across the US, especially those on the West Coast against Goldman Sachs and other bankers.

On 12/12 Occupy Denver will be rallying at the Walmart Distribution Center, 7500 Crossroads Boulevard, Loveland, Colorado, in order to illustrate the problems with a globalization solely based on the interests of multi-national corporations and total disregard for human values or human beings.

Guess they’ll leave another 75 carts full of merchandise and melting ice cream for the employees to restock like they did last time.

At a distribution center, they will be holding up truck drivers. Hmm I think a bit of fifth wheel grease would work. Would love to monitor cb traffic there. Just try taking a dump on someones rig. Tire thumper alert.

Humorously, Walmart is exactly what these socialists imagine that a state run store would be like in their mind's-eye utopia. Walmart’s great sin, is that it exists outside of their purview.

Trust fund babies don't understand people who can't afford to shop at Bloomingdales - or 'in' enough to search local thrift shops - whichever is coolest at the moment...

I'll bet most of them have never been inside a Walmart.

I guess Denver doesn’t have any ports to blockade tomorrow, so Walmart will have to do...

Natural rights? I can just see the more doctrinaire lefties cringing when they read this. Who does he think he his, John Locke? Get this comrade to a gulag for reprogramming, stat!

Hmmmm.... distribution center. Interesting.

What do you find at distribution centers? Trucks. What’s inside trucks? Truck drivers. Sleepy, irritable, long-suffering drivers with sore backs and schedules.

I wonder what they might have to say to a bunch of pampered, mommy-dear type protesters that make up the “occupier” crowd.

That could get messy.

“Rubber bullets, tasers, night sticks and high-pressure water cannons.”

It's a shame that it's not going to be overly cold in Denver tommorow. The fire hoses would be really fun when it's -20.

I noticed that all the Unions quit running ads against WalMart when “CommieCare” got passed. Now they're back at it again. It should be a valuable lesson to corporations to not lay down with marxist dogs.

Those semis / 18 wheeelers have over-sized bumpers called “cow-catchers”. the truck drivers have mandated schedules , and don’t take too kindly to delays , or interrruptions.

If someone was to lay down in front of one of those trucks , there is a good chance the trucker wont see them.

If someone stood up as a truck approached, they will be ‘mounted’ on the cow-catcher bumper if the trucker cant stop in time .

This is a very big distribution Center, serving all of the Colorado stores. It employes thousands of workers and gets hundred of trucks in and out every day. I’m sure that Walmart security will have their hands full.....

This is the same problem many have posted about in the last three weeks. You get the server error message repeatedly or no internet connection message. Then when you finally get back to the thread you see double or triple posts. We were talking about it this morning on the Sunday Talk Show thread. Makes me bananas. Short trip by the way.

I’d like to see the occuturds try to occupy the Wal Mart distribution center between Austin and San Antonio. There are some big cedar whackers driving trucks and forklifts there. Had a bud working there who was also in the military who was about 6’3” and 220 or so. He could take the 1100 X 20 tire and wheel assembly with the brake drum and hub off a 5 ton with one hand and arm.

That's a big 10-4. We used to give our truck drivers a pipe for the load binders that had about a foot of steel driven into the end to check tires.

Walmart is the largest private employer in the US. That’s a lot of money paid into the IRS that these parasites want redistributed to them.

I sure hope they don't block Crossroads Blvd. around 6:00am or 5:00-5:30pm. Boy Wonder has to drive past there and he has very little patience with folks that interfere with his getting to work or home on time. Very little patience

I do have a delivery right down the street so I’ll make sure to drive by and express my opinion to them...
