The United Kingdom has not had a formal written constitution, to which the subjects of the Queen could point to and say, this is our definition of rights. Instead, a large, somewhat amorphous body of case law is pointed to and called “English common law”, and only a few documents are supporting the framework of that law. As such, there is no controlling legal authority, as Al Gore was fond of saying, that is immune to incursions and erosions by foreign influences.
Islamic Shar’ia law is just another large body of case law, but one that is not subject to review or repeal in any way. Once a set of circumstances has been applied, there may be no outcome but condemnation and punishment, with no chance of appeal, except to apply to the mercy of the religious authorities.
Mercy is not justice. Any system of justice that requires mercy as its only escape valve is flawed so severely, it cannot be considered anywhere in the lexicon of human freedom.
Shar’ia law is the very thesis of enslavement. Nowhere in the Koran is there any verse or chapter that corresponds in any way to the Decalogue, or the “Golden Rule”.
I’m afraid the UK is lost. Where are the people who built an empire upon which the sun never set?

Maybe it’s time Christians stopped turning the other cheek. We should adopt as our role models the Roman emperors Constantine IV and Leo III, the Frankish warrior Charles Martel, and the Polish king John Sobieski—Christian leaders who fought back against the Islamic terrorists of their day and defeated them.

I’m all for leaving the EU, but the UJ never lost control of our borders - google ‘Schengen Agreement’ for details.

I’m disgusted too by what that article said about the UK trying to appease the Islamists. I can understand wanting to let off some steam. I suppose that’s what you’re doing with that “Exterminate” picture. Surely you don’t support actually trying to exterminate every Muslim there. Do you?
I have no objection to using violence against terrorists (who are using violence against us) but exterminating Muslims as a group is something quite different. That means rounding up people — men, women, and children — carting them off to extermination camps, and then disposing of their bodies. Are you willing to do that?
I don’t think that’s something to joke about. It serves to discredit the opposition to the Islamists when something like that’s posted, and nobody objects to it.
I guess you’ve never been shot at by Muslims.
