About 72 percent Miami-Dade’s Republicans are Hispanic

That's a significant statistic not often published.

Newt strategizing a “wham-bam thank you Ma'am” approach. If he scored Rubio as VP or even a “maybe”, would be tough as nails on Mitt.

Newt is going after the Hispanic vote. It’s a good strategy. They voted for Obama big time (against their natural inclinations) and without them Obama is toast.

Hispanics should be a Republican constituency. Newt senses this. Most are Catholic, family oriented, and hard working. With Marco Rubio as Newt’s VP Obama would have a difficult time getting re-elected.

Does Rubio meet the constitutional requirements to take over the presidency should the need arise?

If Obama doesn’t, then neither does Rubio.

"Newt is already looking to the big states."

He needs to if he wants to go anywhere after the primaries. From the polls I've seen, he's in terrible shape with independents in FL.
