60 Minutes of one deluded president (The real Middle-Class knows Obama is a fraud)
Washington Post ^ | 12/12/2011 | By Jennifer Rubin

Posted on 12/12/2011 9:48:14 AM PST by tobyhill

President Obama’s appearance last night on “60 Minutes” confirms how severely out of touch he is with political reality. He has become entirely predictable, and his insincerity is unrestrained.

There is the phony familiarity, a strained attempt to bond with working-class voters he’s lost. We therefore have an epidemic of missing “g’s”: He tells Steve Kroft: “Look, the — everybody’s at — concerned about inequality. Those folks in there, who were listenin’ to the speech, those are teachers and small-business people, and probably some small-town bankers, who are in there thinking to themselves, ‘How is it that I, we’re workin’ so hard,’ and meanwhile, they know that corporate profits are at a record level, that a lot of folks are doin’ very well. What’s happened to the bargain? What’s happened to the American deal that says, you know, we are focused on building a strong middle class?” I am ready to bet the farm he didn’t talk that way at Harvard.

Obama also goes into “black talk” mode when speaking to black audiences. The man is a chameleon.

Weird.

I was with some of his most ardent cheerleaders last night and we didn’t watch this.....

Tells me how insincere they are about the intensity of their real support, erh, belief in and on him.

Their mythical god has proven no more powerful than Baal and as they watch their pharaoh pretend all is well despite the plagues.

Obama, let my people go.

I didn’t see the interview. Was his entire appearance an attempt to convince us Americans how we should really feel about events?

Obama and the other Rats had one game plan that worked last election, tell the middle-class that 5% unemployment was bad, gas prices were bad, the economy was bad, the wars were bad, Bush was bad and McCain will be just as bad as Bush.

The middle-class are now saying, “we'll take that “bad” over the bad for the past 3 years”.

“Obama also goes into “black talk” mode when speaking to black audiences. The man is a chameleon.”

How do we know that he did not speak like that at Harvard?

Where is any spoken dialog from him during his social promotion time at that pseudo university!

Absolutely right. The last paragraph is a gratuitous shot at Newt. Unlike the rest of the article, it doesn't give one example to back the point that Newt is loose with the facts.

In fact, Newt's sudden jump in the polls, I think, is that he is perceived as being a straight talker and puts it all out there, unlike the rest of the politicians (read - Romney) that are so careful not to offend.

Don't worry, the Post has plenty of time to take shots at our guy; they just hope it is Romney. He won't hit back as hard as Newt.

“The middle-class are now saying, “we’ll take that “bad” over the bad for the past 3 years”. “

The problem is, our numbers are dwindling, and we’re already outnumbered.

Between the job crushing of Democrats/unions, and the rush of corporations to offshore, the middle class is becoming an endangered species.

Don't get your hopes up.... National newspaper websites regularly include "blog" sections now. (Check the URL of this article.) This "anti-Obama" article did not and will not appear in the actual paper, nor is it linked to from the lead page of the WaPo website.

Interestingly, almost all the comments are pro-obama. (I guess the wapo's readership is comprised mostly of lefttards.) These commenters readily accept dear leader's assertions about "avoiding a depressing" and "jobs saved" although they are unprovable. They are exceedingly gullible.

Obama has so many accurate nicknames. Here are two nicknames that are equally accurate, but which one will be more likely to stick with the voters?

1.) “Wrong Track” Obama
or
2.) “Wrong Way” Obama

BTW, I am truly Bipartisan on this difficult selection.

I have to keep the remote handy because this a$$hole is on TV so much that you just don’t know when the next incessant babble is coming. I think the guy is finally unhinged and is subliminally trying to torpedo himself. You will know the end is near when he resorts to Ebonics.

I despise the term “The Middle Class”. It is not an American term, not one rooted in American history or American ideals.

It is a term that was born in Europe of socialist academics like Marx and Engles.

America the ideal, as envisioned by the Founders, was a class-less society. The Founders, give the political and economic realities of the founding era did acknowledge in law the existence of three classes, one directly by name, the slaves. And two by inference from that: Freemen and Slave Owners.

America is a land established for freemen — not freeloaders — freemen. Of the terms in play at the time of the founding “Yeoman” is most apt, although I am not aware authors of the national Constitution used it. It is likely that by the 1780’s what was known as a yeoman a few generations ago was by then, in America, just a citizen, a freeman.

But I would suggest that “Yeoman Class” is the most appropriate of terms to use if one has to use “class” terms. Yeomen were men able to sustain themselves and their families and own household. They had a house and a garden, and some trade. They were men of arms, the Yeomanry, the militia. The formal, but temporary military.

The Yeoman class does not include the serfs, the slaves, or the religious clericals of the middle ages such as monks, priests and nuns. All of those are dependent on some feudal lord or church authority for their livelihood. Yeomen, the men, the women and the children of their households are INDEPENDENT.

The “Middle Class” of today’s usage however DOES include the dependent classes of today — the social welfare dependents, the government workers, the career military, even most higher-education academics, for few college positions are truly independent of government funding and large degrees of regulatory support, and nigh-compulsion upon the young to go to college.

To fix America we need a much envigorated Yeoman Class, and a much smaller dependent (serf) class.

It is a serious failure to claim we should want to protect the “Middle Class”, because in the formulation of that “Middle Class” by Obama, Pelosi, Reid and all the liberal chatterers the “Middle Class” includes a large percentage of serfs, of government dependents.
