Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show
Telegraph(UK) ^ | December 13, 2011 | Nick Allen

Posted on 12/13/2011 6:02:00 PM PST by Steelfish

Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show Sarah Palin has so far failed to find a buyer for her latest television show idea in a further sign that her star is on the wane.

In the last few years Sarah Palin has made millions of dollars from two books and numerous public appearances By Nick Allen 13 Dec 2011

The former Republican vice presidential candidate's new proposed foray into reality TV would focus on her husband Todd's career as a champion snowmobile racer. It would be a follow up to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part travelogue which was sold to The Learning Channel (TLC) for more than $1 million an episode and first broadcast in November last year.

That show followed the former Alaska governor and her family around the state, including footage of her shooting a caribou on a hunting trip, going on a deep sea fishing expedition, and visiting a logging camp. It broke ratings records for a first episode on TLC, drawing more than five million viewers. However, it dropped to three million for the second episode and received mixed reviews, with entertainment industry bible Variety commenting "Boring? You betcha".

Discovery Communications, which owns TLC, has not bought the latest idea for a Palin show. Cable and satellite broadcaster A&E Networks, which bid for the previous series, is also reportedly not interested.

You got it and they rest of the posters bought it hook line and sinker. Nothing conservative about being a pawn for the media.

There were articles about the possibility of her jumping in the race - and now this article to remind their pawns - remember, she can’t win, she’s not relevant, she never was. LOL!

Ok, some of those made me laugh and go WTH!!??

Johnny Cash? June Carter, maybe, but Palin isn’t nearly as funny.

the Beatles? What not Elvis?!!
Godzilla?
Joan of Arc? Ok, this one I can see, Joan was excommunicated, burned at the stake, then restored and canonized

Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Luke Skywalker?
Mother Teresa? - Palin is neither Catholic or a nun
Secretariat? A horse? Really? This one really made me laugh

Snow White?
Sir William Wallace? Yeah because I can see her with Mel Gibson in a kilt yelling “FREEEEEDOOOOMMMM”

Wow, just wow.

They were there two weeks ago.

They came out on October fourth.

I mentioned it because it is relevant to the topic of Sarah Palin.

I don’t know why you responded to a post that wasn’t directed to you.

Palin can write books, make documentaries... pretty much what she wants.

No one forced anyone to buy her books, this is a free country and Palin is entitled to make money.

Palin did not promise to run for Presidency , it is only her supporters who were constantly hoping that she runs and disappointed when she did’nt.

Excellent list. Where’d you get it?

I added names to the list as I learned of their existence in threads. I kept the first few names in my head, but when I got to six or seven, I started publishing the list. It's been growing for nearly two years.

As far as I know, all the names on the list are sincere comparisons by Palindrones. If I thought someone was putting me on, I didn't add the name to the list.

In case you're wondering, a few people did make the Jesus Christ comparison, and that name did appear on the list for a time. I removed the name when it became apparent that *I* would be the one accused of the blasphemy rather than those who actually made the comparison. Some people like to play shoot-the-messenger around here. :)

You were one of the most crazed and over the top when she declined to run. I was ashamed for you, and realized that you put too much emotion into her possible campaign, and when she turned it down, you crashed and burned before our very eyes. You are still very angry. Please redirect that anger, try really physical work like chopping wood. It helps to pry your fingers off the keyboard too.

Keep it honest - you trashed Sarah from the beginning. Try to keep your contempt for conservatism to a low roar here. You got too comfortable here and now letting your liberalism spew all over the place. If there is a Sarah thread - there you are venting your vile.

You do not walk in her shoes. You are still blaming her because this is a really gawdawful field. SP will be out there on the campaign trying her best to help the backbiters win the Senate and throw out the Obummers, as well as pick up more House seats.

Everyone needs to stay focused, and stop picking scabs. We are still in a good position, if we buck up and stop picking the damned collective scabs.

We need all our assets deployed.

Now. It is time. Now. It’s important.

America could be lost, very soon. Nobody will rescue us, as we have previously rescued so many.

If America fails, it’s over.

Ayup. When I read something on here last night about Newt being a TEA Party favorite, I figured it was a backhand at the TEA Party.

When the MSM starts unpacking his baggage and flinging that poo, they want it to stick to the TEA party movement as much as they can get it to.

Some of the so called SP supporters are so deranged because she is not running that they...

Well, they are acting like jilted high school aged lovers or wannabees. I wonder how many of the ones calling her a coward would drag their families through 1/10 of the crap the media has dragged them all through, and then make the conscious decision to go back into that foray for more than a year of increasingly shrill garbage flung at them. No doubt, there were death threats as well (most anyone high profile gets them), but after the Gabby Giffords (et. al.) shooting, really, how many posting their disdain would take their families into the face of that sort of crap?

The bad-mouthing of Sarah Palin on Free Republic — especially after so many here so vocally supported her just a few months ago — is DISGUSTING. I predicted then that if she decided not to run, many who talked her up would shortly be cussing and condemning her. Free Republic has proven me RIGHT.

Sarah Palin is STILL one of the most honorable Conservative leaders we’ve seen in a LONG time. That she didn’t run for President in this election does not negate what she has meant to our nation, nor what she could still do in the future. She said that she had prayed and discussed the matter with her family, and she felt this was the right thing to do. Will we second guess her?

She’s still qualified, but that’s not God’s plan for her right now. Maybe instead of blaming Sarah or buying into the lies about her being weak or in it for the money, we might consider the possibility her time has not yet come. But this derogatory crap toward an honorable and good woman by some FReepers is just asinine and ridiculous.

I’m not saying be depressed.

I’m saying quitting, is the wrong thing for Palin to have done, and nobody should make that decision easy for her.

I say make her struggle with it.

Because it was the wrong decision, and she matters.

Sorry. I’m not supporting someone I once supported, and the reason is frankly, America is most important.

Not the hurt feelings of someone in her family.

Buck it up Palin. You blew it. Bigtime.

I seem to recall that you posted a vanity that trashed Palin after she announced she wasn’t running. Now you are back to Palinista? Go figure.

And, I am actually deaf (I don’t have eardrums), but I see this clearly. Palin isn’t the Savior of this country - not in the least and her actions regarding this race proved that. Am I disappointed? Yes. Will I live? Yeah. Can the GOP win? Yeah. Will Conservatism survive? Yeah. There are other conservatives than Palin, you just don’t see it. You are blinded by idolatry.

I just pray Romney doesn’t get the nomination. UGH.

Your entire post sounds like sour grapes...  Well okay.  Sounds like history to me.

...and is loaded with misinformation.  Misinformation?  Hmm...

What has happened to you?  Nothing much.  I came here and expressed my thoughts on a thread just like you are.

JD was a horrible, stinky candidate, and she backed Mccain before JD even put his hat in the ring.  Hayworth Declares 01/22/2010 Palin Announces Plans to campaign for McCain 01/20/2010

She made her announcment two days before J.D. Hayworth announced his intent to run for McCain's senate seat.  Speculation prior to that had made it crystal clear he was heavily contemplating a run.  For a woman who led her followers on until October 2011, until she quietly announced she wasn't going to run, it sure seems like she could have been a bit more patient in January 2010.

When are you people going to get a grip and stop blaming SP for JD being a $hitty candidate.  There are a number of aspects of this situation, that lead me to think Arizona McCain supporters are a classic case of living in denial.  McCain had been a treacherous traitor to Conservatism for decades.  His record is the worst I've ever seen, for someone claiming to be supportive of Conservative principles.  Take a look a this sordid list of McCain's history.  I believe there are close to 200 negatives (perhaps only 100, I haven't looked at it in a while) listed, covering most of McCain's life.  LINK

At the most, I have seen perhaps three or four bad things Hayworth has been charged with doing.  None of it even comes close to the treachery I documented about McCain.  His dealings with Soros, Kennedy, John and Teressa Kerry, Feingold, the Tides Foundation... these are the major players of the Left, almost the backbone of socialism and anti-American activity in the United States.  Soros alone funds countless anti-American efforts in the U.S.  John McCain and his Soros, Teressa Heinz Kerry, Tides Foundation backed organization become one of them.  His top campaign staff were paid six figure salaries in this organization.  You see, if McCain had won in 2008, Soros would still have had one of his own in the White House.  Now he's back in the Senate of the United States instead.

If he had been the candidate in AZ instead of Mccain that seat would have been a DemocRAT seat pickup.  Everyone knows that Mccain is a prostitute, but this was AZ.  John McCain out spent Hayworth by ten or twenty to one.  Are those the actions of a man who knew he had it in the bag?  Airing supportive spots by Palin for over five months on the main talk radio stations of Arizona, does that sound like a guy who thought he was a shoe-in?  There is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that the Arizona McCain seat would have gone over to the Democrats.  The only sure way would have been if the Republican party, McCain's team, and all the people pulling for McCain in the state, had stayed home on election day.  Evidently that's what you're telling me you would have done.

SP served over 2 1/2 years as Governor. Why are you lying?  Palin was sworn in as Governor on December 4th, 2006.  LINK  Palin accepted the Vice Presidential slot to run with John McCain around the First of September 2008.  That is 21 months after she was sworn in.  I'm not certain she deserves credit for being an active governor during September through December of 2008, although you can tack on another six months in 2009.  It is reasoned to state that Palin actively served at least 27 months.  That is at a minimum nine months more than I gave her credit for, and it's reasoned to bring it up. Resignation July 3, 2009.  LINK  I know that some of you folks think her serving for 27 months is quite a feather in her cap, but for many of us it really isn't.  We see it as a failed term in office.

How long do you think RR’s term as Governor of California would have been had he won the GOP Presidential nomination, then the General Election the first time he ran? By the time he would have been sworn in as President he would have been Governor of California 2 years.  What I find rather comforting, is watching you folks try to dig up something you think will compare with Palin favorably.  Reagan served two full terms as Governor of California.  He ran for President of the United States.  He did not run as the bottom half of a presidential ticket then resign six months later.

You need to pick a decent candidate and stop trying to beat up on someone because you are pissed at the really crappy field. Stop blaming SP, look in the mirror.   Let me explain something for you.  Palin's most shallow thoughts have been regurgitated on this forum since September 2008.  It has been over three years since she ran with McCain.  She does not hold office.  She is not respected by McCain.  He has consistently used and abused her.  I have not found this to be particularly flattering to her. Frankly, it angers me on her behalf to tell the truth.  I have bit my lip on this forum a thousand times, if I've bit it once, rather than enter threads and voice my opinion regarding Palin.  We're entering 2012, Palin has finally decided she won't run, and it's really too bad that it bothers you that some of us have had it up to here with her, but that is a fact of life.

You didn't want us being frank about her in 2009.  You didn't want us being frank about her in 2010.  You don't like us being frank about her in 2011 either.  At some point you folks are going to have to come to terms with the reality that quite a few of us are sick to death of hearing Palin praised non-stop as if she were some master of the universe.  She isn't.

Some of us would merely like that reality to be acknowledged.  I don't give a rats ass what she says.  I don't care who she endorses.  If she can endorse someone like John McCain, she's worthless as a person devining who should get Conservative support.  If she's going to tell the Tea Party that John McCain is one of them, then she's doing more harm than good.

I couldn't care less if you agree with me or not.

Stop it. You are overwhelmed with a sense of your own self-importance. Your thinking I would care about how you feel doesn’t faze me in the slightest.

I never said I was looking for it. I was looking through the entire department when I was doing my shopping, though. And it was nowhere to be found. I looked at every video that was available because I was shopping for videos. And the Undefeated video was not in the store.

And unless you are a psychic, your supernatural power of detection has failed because “I am sure I already know why” is a false statement. There was no I-am-out-to-prove-I-hate-Palin-today type of scenario, you fool. The proof I had stumbled on was only because I’m a thorough shopper.

It is obvious that Palin enjoys the campaign part of running for office. She likes the cheering crowds and adoration it gets her.

What is also obvious is that she doesn’t really like being confined by the constrictions and boredom of holding a public office. She actually said this as far back as the Alaska reality show. She made an ad for the show declaring how she would rather do this than sit in a stuffy old office all day. This is freakin’ fun.

She probably decided quite a while ago to not really run, but enjoy the fun as though she might run. It was a total ego driven farce.

The way she ended the charade was pretty nasty to her die hard fans. Taking money for the PAC and the movie was not a nice thing to do.

I find it hard to believe Lassie isn’t on the list. Are you sure?????
I’m sure there were names that I missed. :)

Rodney Dangerfield. I can’t get no respect.

LOL
