Sarah Palin Fails To Find Buyer For Latest TV Show Sarah Palin has so far failed to find a buyer for her latest television show idea in a further sign that her star is on the wane.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate's new proposed foray into reality TV would focus on her husband Todd's career as a champion snowmobile racer. It would be a follow up to "Sarah Palin's Alaska," an eight-part travelogue which was sold to The Learning Channel (TLC) for more than $1 million an episode and first broadcast in November last year.
That show followed the former Alaska governor and her family around the state, including footage of her shooting a caribou on a hunting trip, going on a deep sea fishing expedition, and visiting a logging camp. It broke ratings records for a first episode on TLC, drawing more than five million viewers. However, it dropped to three million for the second episode and received mixed reviews, with entertainment industry bible Variety commenting "Boring? You betcha".
Discovery Communications, which owns TLC, has not bought the latest idea for a Palin show. Cable and satellite broadcaster A&E Networks, which bid for the previous series, is also reportedly not interested.

I don’t see that happening. - She had a chance to do something historic, and had massive backing, like no one has had before, but she got cold feet.
She would have had huge coattails following her into the white house, but with the field so uninspiring and widely spread now, that’s all gone. We may well lose congress and the presidency; who do we have to inspire us?
Palin completely misunderstood the nature of her popularity.
We did not want to see Palin on television.
We want to see her in the White House.
WAKE UP PALIN. Get off the sideline.

Well, one rather interesting thing has come from all this. For three years, Palin was taking the full brunt of media hellfire for the GOP, conservatives, and the Tea Party.
Now that she has opted to remove herself from the bullseye, the whole GOP field is laid bare on the battlefield, and revealed to be pretty damned pathetic.
There’s not even been one primary vote cast yet.
It’s time to stop messing around, and someone needs to talk some sense into Governor Palin.
Our nation is at stake. This is not the time for selfish concerns.
This is time to change history.
I thought that’s what the “We are the Earthquake” campaign was about. Or was it the Iowa commercial that is being run by C4P? They’ve been screaming “Run Sarah Run” for months now.

True as far as it goes, but its not who hates her that counts. We have lots of jerks here at FR that hate her, but they amount to nothing. The American people had become largely obsessed with the vision of her in the white house, and she deeply hurt the people that loved her. She is destined to find out how deep that wound is.

Excellent observation. I will always wonder what would have been, had Sarah Palin thrown her hat into the ring. She was the only Republican to take it to Obama consistently, and if it were not for her, John Boehner would still be crying in the corner as the House Minority Leader.
A lot of folks on here need to shed their PDS. They have never risked what she risked, not endured what she endured.
Obama has nothing on the PDS-er's about throwing people under a bus, that's for sure.
Maybe we didn't sound enthusiastic enough. There were many doubters here and that may have weighted her decision, and bad Karma. Maybe we were not worthy of her run. But there is still hope :)
We can try again in 2016. Maybe a National commercial on all the networks and cable News called 'Run Sarah run' is a good start. And do a better job neutralizing dissenters.
