Wonder how much was actually paid to Ms. Gingrich?

Doesn’t change the fact that I destroyed your very flawed analogy.
Which I did.

Newt was taken out by his own side in a cowardly act of media damage control after the left retaliated against him and Palinized him as payback for taking out Speaker Wright. Self-interests? Laughably inaccurate. I was there and I watched it happen.

You're right, ez. The coup against the Speaker started in Lindsey Graham's office.

Reality is I just saw the most updated polls and Gingrich does well in the primary but Obama beats him nationally hands down. Aren’t you concerned about this? With Cain it would have been different maybe. I think he could have beat Obama. With Gingrich the MSM will spin it left vs. right.

Aster reading it, I’m left wonder what you expected to accomplish in trying to smear Newt Gingrich with this possibly Pelosi sourced material? The report is on Marianne Gingrich with not concrete connection to Newt, only innuendo. That seems to be the stock and trade of the hate Newt gaggle.

You are such a child. Why don’t you ask the FBI? Because as we know, no one has ever used the FBI to harrass their political enemies, especially the wonderful and honest Clintons.

The FBI investigation began in before 97.

If your stupid enough to believe the polls designed to herd you, then you’re just what the DNC is looking for. Con gratulations, you could be a faithful democrat!

Calling me stupid does not erase the fact that the polls are great if _______ is winning but they are MSM conspiracy if ______ is losing. I don’t want to play games and chance Romney or Obama winning.

“..people are fungible fluid beings who are neither 100% nor 0% right or wrong....”

People seem to forget that our Conservative Icon Ronaldus Magnus was a DEMOCRAT before he was a Republican.

And no, for any that want to jump on this statement, I’m not comparing Newt to Reagan...

But I AM comparing Newt to Obama...and guess what...I’d trust Newt a WHOLE HELLUVA LOT MORE to start dismantling what Obama and his socialist *sswipes have built, rather than let this fraud get four more years to completely finish us off.

Newt’s got some issues, yeah, but in the grand scheme of things, the ONLY question is - Will he do right by the Country and the people, as compared to Obama and Co.? I think he will.

That’s what it comes down to. I was for Herman Cain, but he left the race. Wish he wouldn’t have, but I can’t question his motives or reasons for doing so - they’re his, and he’s the one who put himself into the arena, so...same with Sarah Palin.

Romney? I don’t know what to think of that guy...he just...WANTS it too badly - almost like “I deserve it now...it’s MY turn”. At least that’s the impression I get when I listen to him.

Would HE be better than Obama? Don’t know...he reminds me of nothing more than a Liberal in a Republican suit and tie. Romneycare and Obamacare...Massachusetts gave us Teddy Kennedy, John Kerry, and Barney Frank...Enough said.

At the end of the day, the infighting and bitchslapping going on amongst ourselves only helps the Dems further rip the country to shreds.

No one wants to recall that in 2009 Newt aligned himself with Mitt, Jeb, McCain, Cantor, McConnell, Blunt, Thune, Kyl, Cornyn, Hutchinson, et al, to “remake the GOP.”

IMHO, Newt will end up endorsing Mitt.

http://theplumline.whorunsgov.com/republican-party/gingrich-to-be-a-public-face-of-cantors-effort-to-remake-gop/

Gingrich Joins Cantor’s Effort To Remake GOP

Newt Gingrich has joined Eric Cantor’s new effort to remake the GOP for the future, a Cantor spokesperson confirms.

“Speaker Gingrich will be joining the National Council for a New America as one of the members of our national panel of experts,” Cantor spokesperson Joe Pounder tells me, confirming a Chris Cillizza item based on anonymous sources.

“It is generally recognized that Speaker Gingrich is a man who’s putting forth bold ideas in the party,” Pounder continues. “It’s only natural that he would join an organization that seeks to apply conservative principles to everyday challenges. That’s what Speaker Gingrich has been doing for the past couple of years.”

Cantor’s group has taken some hits from Mike Huckabee and other conservatives who argue that the group has de-emphasized social issues in an effort to rebrand the GOP at the expense of social conservatives. Rush Limbaugh slammed the group as a “scam.”

(snip)

Graham was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994 as the first Republican from the Third Congressional District of South Carolina since 1877.

Really, that’s a lot of power for a 1st termer.

UH huh:

Bill Clinton Praises Newt Gingrich’s Presidential Run: ‘He’s Being Rewarded For Thinking’

by Frances Martel | 11:27 am, November 27th, 2011

“He’s being rewarded for thinking,” said former President Bill Clinton of Newt Gingrich in an interview with Newsmax yesterday. The former President, for whom Gingrich was a longtime thorn in the side as Speaker of the House, gave an interview for his upcoming book to the conservative publication, the full content of which will be released tonight. The excerpt on Gingrich was released last night, however, and Clinton praised Gingrich by suggesting his message appeals to independents.

RELATED: Newt Gingrich Under Fire At Debate For Supporting ‘Humane’ Immigration Policy
...............................................
Clinton noted that Gingrich’s rise had nothing to do with “any traditional charisma,” but with the fact that Gingrich was “articulate and he tries to think of a conservative version of an idea that will solve a legitimate problem.” His answer to the immigration question at the last debate, for example, impressed Clinton. He explained in the interview:

“He said, ‘OK, I don’t want to legitimize immigrants who came here undocumented, illegally.’ On the other hand, a lot of those people have been here for years, they worked hard, they paid taxes, they’ve got kids in the schools, they’re not criminals, we’re going to have a hard time sending them all home, there’s millions of them. So, I’d like to have a process where they could be here legally but not have a path to citizenship. That sort of splits the difference between the immigration reforms proposed by President Bush and President Obama, which would give a path to citizenship, and would be a version of what President Reagan did.”
............................................................

“I think he’s doing well just because he’s thinking, and people are hungry for ideas that make some sense,” Clinton concluded, though he did note that he considered Mitt Romney to come across as “strong and forceful and knowledgeable,” but gave Gingrich a serious shot at the nomination.

LOL. Take it up with Lindsey. He’s been a RINO all along.

Gingrich met with him a couple of weeks ago and Linda said he was happy that Gingrich doesn’t hold grudges.

Little Marty:
Go sit at the children’s table and do not interrupt the adults until you can stay on subject.

The subject at hand was the success Gingrich had in the 90s in congress. The adults discussing it full well know that Gingrich has some flaws, and those flaws bother us to. However, what bothers us most are little children who come in and throw tantrums instead of joining in the grown up discussion.

So finish your spinach and off to bed with you. No bedtime story tonight.
