The end of Sharm el-Sheikh? Islamist parties call for ban on Westerners

Bargain holidays for Westerners looking to get a bit of sunshine and a drink by the pool in the winter could be a thing of the past on Egypt's Red Sea coast.

The Muslim Brotherhood, which won success in the first round of parliamentary elections last month, is set on turning Egypt into a 'sin-free' holiday resort.

But the end of sun worshippers flying to resorts like Sharm el-Sheikh could spell disaster for an economy that has already been battered by this year's political unrest.

Azza al-Jarf, a candidate for the Muslim Brotherhood, told supporters: 'Tourists don't need to drink alcohol when they come to Egypt; they have plenty at home.

'They came to see the ancient civilisation, not to drink alcohol.'

Since its success in the first round of elections on November 28 and 29, the Brotherhood and the even more fundamentalist party of Salafi Muslims called Al-Nour have been under pressure to define their stance on a wide range of issues - including Islamic law, personal freedom and tourism.

Al-Nour has said it seeks to impose strict Islamic law in Egypt, while the Muslim Brotherhood says publicly it does not want to force its views on an appropriate Islamic lifestyle on Egyptians.

The unrest that saw former president Hosni Mubarak ousted has hit the economy hard and shaken investor confidence.

And as Egypt does everything it can to destroy its economy, how much foreign aid and grain will Obama send to feed the Islamist monster?

Pardon me, Mudslimes, but I really like having my head stay firmly attached to my shoulders via my neck; hence, after sleeping with my dogs, one an 85 lb. Pitador and the other a 90 lb. 10 month old Greart Dane, and eating country ham and eggs for breakfast, I think I’ll go to the vet with the Dane and hold his paw during hangnail treatments rather than visit any of your shit holes, including Egypt, even if you promise to pay my air fare.

What a shame. I spent a wonderful month there in 1978 when Israel still had it. Worked in a motel that had a great bar/disco every night. In my spare time, I snorkeled some of the most amazing coral reef you can ever imagine. Unbelievable color and variety of coral and fish. 115 degrees in the shade most days, but dry as a bone. Used to get a rowdy crowd from the UN base at Ismailia on the Suez. Great times.

Radical Islamists taking over in Egypt will destroy Egypt. Let them. AS LONG AS we feel no need to save them from themselves, give them aid, or allow their citizens into the USA, I do not care that much.

Egypt has little industry. Half its citizens are illiterate. It imports most of its basic food commodities. It has little gas or oil. Its main earnings are 1) tourism and 2) remittances from Egyptian labor working elsewhere - and now they talk about banning foreigners. Their Treasury has enough foreign exchange for about another 4-5 months of imported food. After that, all they will have to eat are their Korans.

Prophetically Egypt's on it's way down now....and the Muslim Brotherhood will be certain to destroy anything which might have been better for the nation otherwise. The people will one day regret this time in their history and dream of how it once was. Hunger and loss is ahead for them in a big way.

Westerners should consider vacationing at home. There’s hardly a western country that doesn’t have some spectacular spots. Not only will that help their struggling economies, but it will rob money from political hotspots and maybe give the Jihadist supporter in the street pause to think.

Also, there’s no reason to put westerner’s at risk by unnecessarily exposing them to kidnapping or terrorist murder.

Having said that, I think the MSM needs to send more blond-haired, blue-eyed women to cover riots and beheadings. I particularly like it when they wear low neckline halter tops with pushup bras.

“Thank you, John. As you can see behind me the crowd is very excited. There have been numerous celebratory acid-throwings and some quaint beheadings leading up to the traditional attack on the Israeli legation. This is very much like our own wonderful Occupy movement and a real leap forward for democracy…wait! Here comes one of the protesters now…Sir? Pardon me. Is that a scimi—“

The average American hasn’t a CLUE to how much of our tax money Obama has sent down Muslim sh*t holes while he threatens to cut medicare and withold senior’s social security checks!

BILLIONS FOR JIHAD!

Obamas 2009 Supplemental Appropriations for Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Pandemic Flu was revised and passed by the full committee.
It gives billions http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/1...
of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies.
Read the summary from David Obeys office that was quietly released last week with nary a word from any media.

$3.6 billion, matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

$400 million, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces

Afghanistan:$1.52 billion,$86 million above the request

West Bank and Gaza:$665 million in bilateral economic, humanitarian, and security assistance for the West Bank and Gaza

Jordan:$250 million,$250 million above the request, including $100 million for economic and $150 million for security assistance

Egypt:$360 million,$310 million above the request, including $50 million for economic assistance,$50 million for border security, and $260 million for security assistance

Pakistan:$1.9 billion,$591 million above the request

Iraq:$968 million,$336 million above the request

Oversight:$20 million,$13 million above the request, to expand oversight capacity of the State Department, USAID, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan to review programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq
Lebanon:$74 million

International Food Assistance:$500 million,$200 million above the request, for PL 480 international food assistance to alleviate suffering during the global economic crisis

Refugee Assistance:$343 million,$50 million above the request, including humanitarian assistance for Gaza. Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

Disaster Assistance:$200 million to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

Peacekeeping:$837 million for United Nations
peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

Department of Justice:$17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system
Obama gives your tax dollars to rebuild Muslim mosques around the world
http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/... #

ACCORDING TO THE ASSOCIATED PRESS, THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION WILL GIVE AWAY NEARLY $6 MILLION OF AMERICAN TAX DOLLARS TO RESTORE 63 HISTORIC AND CULTURAL SITES, INCLUDING ISLAMIC MOSQUES AND MINARETS, IN 55 NATIONS. See the State Department document here.

And THAT’S just the tip of the iceberg.
THIS will blow your mind!!

They should have 2010 up, but they don’t. That’s where you’ll find Obama’s largesse towards Muslim countries really go off the charts.

THIS IS BUT THE TIP OF THE ICEBERG!!

The first time I ever snorkelled was on the Sinai, first at Nuweiba, then Sharm el Sheikh.

Gorgeous.

I did the whole string, Eilat, Coral Island, Dahab, Nuweiba, Sharem. Sharem still took them all. Divers used to arrive there from all over the world.

Why would anyone vacation in a Muslim country, even a “moderately” Islamic one?
