He was a member of the NRA board of directors, then resigned to VOTE FOR Clinton’s assault rifle ban.
Him and Ben Nighthorse Campbell were like two peas in a pod in this matter. Campbell has since joined the Republican Party and has been trying to ingrate himself in the pro-gun community.
Anyone who casually uses the term “tea baggers” is beneath contempt.
Of that 55 years, his party was in charge the first 39 years. Guess he doesn’t like being a minority party, can’t be top dog.

That seat has been in Dingell hands for 75 years after he inherited the seat from his daddy.
He is also the longest-currently-serving member of Congress, the longest to serve exclusively in the House ever, and the third longest-serving member of Congress ever.

He had to fight to keep the seat last time. The Democrats didn’t expect much of a challenge from Rob Steele but ended up spending a bunch of money they should have been able to save.

EXACTLY! I grew up near his downriver (Michigan) district(s). He's been a cud-chewing scumbag for a very long time. About 30 years ago I called into one of the greatest ever conservative radio talker's shows (R.I.P. Mark "who will protect us from our protectors?" Scott) to enlighten him about Dingell (who he liked because of his stance on guns). He thanked me for the call and information. Dingbat has been a deceiving, arrogand POS dastard for a very long time.

Good grief...these Democrat fossils are misty-eyed recalling the good ol’ days of Robert Michel, perennial GOP minority leader, who was thrilled to be invited to an occasional drink with Tip O’Neal. Why don’t these rancid left-overs quit and cash in on their exorbitant pensions?
I think a mandatory age limit on running for congress is a good idea and a mandatory retirement age....senile old congresscritters are not needed...bet their staff run things when they get old..

I deplore the union thugs that keep re-electing him. We should breaking their backs while telling them our reasons for doing so. If we want to restore America we need to make it very painful to be a socialist.
Quite simply, we can solve two problems at once ... Cut spending and starve the people that depend on tax dollars the most. I do mean this literally, but I firmly believe the socialist will change their ways before dying.

IMHO, old John Dingleberry is the poster boy for lying, corrupt, under-the-table payoff-seekers. And he is one of the worst to ever to slither up the Capitol steps! For instance: He was the one who flacked for the break-up of A.T.&T. “so that our phone bills would be much smaller!” At that point, mine started to escalate and never has stopped!
The quick fix for the problem? Term limits.

What the He!!, they finally upped it to 65, but "ATP's" (The Airline Pilot's "rating" is called the "ATP") are age limited, they helped make those rules so why should they live by them too!

Its so nice to have laws and regulations that you can exempt yourself from....Like Obama care, the congress is exempt from it, so are a few of their friends that got waivers....I am amazed that the citizens have allowed it to go on for decades...epa,batf,ada,dept of ed, dept of commerce, dept of dip shits and all the rest. NOt needed. Put into law so the congress doesn't have to be responsible for what they do....its not laws you see, its regulations but pay no attention to them and your butt lands in jail/fined.
Sounds like a law not made by the legislators to me..no new taxes, just new fee's. etc. add all it up and I'll bet it comes to over 50% of the money one earns. That is slavery. We don't own our property we rent it from the government. Layer upon layer of tax's, fee's and regulations doesn't sound like freedom to me...
Washington should be able to write laws that do not exceed 3 pages double spaced on regular size writing tablets. Work in the city for on 2 months of the year and decrease salary and staff by 90%. No foreign aid to any country that bad mouths us and stay out of other countries civil wars.
The only thing they have authority to do is defend our borders.....jeewhiz, the one thing they won't do...

No way! We have it at the state level here in MI and all that it does is recycle the same idiots from office to office. It doesn’t do anything except kick the good people out of the system. I’d much rather require a qualification test to get a voter ID card! ;-)
The reason we have idiots like Dingell, Conyers and Stabenow is because we have so many idiots voting.
