The veterans group the Greatest Generation Foundation is refusing to accept an apology from the series' executive producer after crew members for the show allegedly disrupted the group's visit to Honolulu's National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

CBS should fly them out to do a first class reunion with no punks around to spoil it.
Think about it: it would be AMAZING PR for CBS and for the vets.
As someone who had 175+ episodes of the original on VHS, taped off the air in the good old days (late ‘90s), the new 5-0 stinks on ice.
Hmmm, that's not how I read the original story ... a Hollywood journalist trying to spin the story? Naaaaaaaaaaaaaa, never happen /s
Read CBS Hawaii Five-O Crew Disses Pearl Harbor Survivors: A Disgrace at Punchbowl and see if you agree.
BTW, note in Tubbs "Disses" article that the _Resident, who has nothing on his calendar besides lunch today, couldn't be bothered to make it out to Pearl for the 70th anniversary.
These people are too dumb and too arrogant to take up your excellent suggestion.
Indeed ... the survivors were on their bus, ready to leave and they asked if the main actors would simply stop by and say hello. You know, the actors who were pretending to honor one of these survivors’ buddies for the show. But they couldn’t be bothered to say hello to the real deal. Five stinking minutes. But they were too busy dining on blackberries and salmon. There’s the 1% that disgusts me. No use for them. None.
Those in charge failed to recognize that this was not a scene set but the real place. They would probably do the same thing as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. If they can’t distinguish fiction from reality they didn’t belong there.
“Indeed ... the survivors were on their bus, ready to leave and they asked if the main actors would simply stop by and say hello.”
I’m quite surprised these old vets would even give a crap about meeting a bunch of unimportant Hollywood flakes, producing utterly forgettable and meaningless, shallow, time-wasting drivel.
what dumbass even thinks of running 'production' at Pearl Harbour on 7 Dec ???
the fact that a film crew was at the site on that day for anything other than a documentary of the veterans is disrespectful on every level...
almost wish one of the ole timers wouldve smacked some celeb punk in the mouth...
May I suggest that everyone turn this program and CBS Hawaii 5-Off. This level of ignorance, selfishness, and disrespect is not redeemable. Many of these veterans literally will not make it to another December 7.
I may not be the great Criswell, but when 2041 comes, DEC. 7th will probably be just another day and forgotten. By then we will be a nation of Jay-walkers.
“CBS purports to be a conservative network...”
For "conservative" read "old folks." I don't think they've ever taken a politically conservative stance, but a lot of granddads are watching NCIS every week.
from my Battlestar Galactica Blurays from now on... It won't be from Five-0 from this point on.
I'd love to see that! IIRC, the "Old Guard" is authorized to use deadly force at The Tomb, and the guards have ammunition.
They are old enough to still have manners and respect for the profession as they remember it.
