After it was revealed yesterday that an increasing number of women are using the sex industry to pay their way through university, one woman has told her story of stripping while studying. Emma Green, of Glamorgan, Wales, turned to stripping on a webcam for men and earned £200-a-week to fund her studies.

The 25-year-old, who studied multi-media design at Glamorgan University before spending another year at a beauty therapy college in 2009, says a normal part-time job was out of the question because of her intense course workload.

The off color lipstick and jpeg compression don’t do her face much justice, but the jury still comes in with a unanimous not guilty.

I knew a gal in college that danced topless at a local place.

Heck, I was playing blues and reggae at sleazy clubs as well as weddings and bar mitzvahs to pay my tuition, too. More honorable than the typical congress critter or local public serpent.

I once met an exotic dancer at a club one night who was working on her PhD in psychology. While sitting in my lap chatting, she told me all about her struggles with balancing her job with her studies. I was so impressed, I gave her an extra $20........

Based on this passage from Hosea, it seems as though God is more concerned with the behavior of the consumer than that of the sex industry worker...

“I will not punish your daughters
when they turn to prostitution,
nor your daughters-in-law
when they commit adultery,
because the men themselves consort with harlots
and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes—
a people without understanding will come to ruin!”

- Hosea 4:4

It's more common than one might think. Especially with the internet and disposable cellphones.

I once briefly dated a very pretty Ukranian girl with poor English that had her own big pad in the NYC financial district. I would estimate her rent to be in the $3000 ballpark. She was always free during the day and most evenings.

Her explanation: “I nanny a few hours a week sometimes”. She would sometimes mention prostitution (not about herself) and get into this strange depressed state. I was finally certain of it and confronted her after she left her second phone turned on while with me.

When we parted ways she said she's addicted to the lifestyle but wished she could do something else. It was causing depression and drug abuse that I found out about later.

She probably doesn’t have too much damage now, but in the future she will when she is addicted to drugs.

It’s easy to get addicted, mainly since the money is seemingly so easy to make. In time though, it ends up taking it’s toll and yet, it’s so easy. Look at Heidi Fleiss; she went from a perky and such to a madam and is now a meth addict.

Note how many of these women who get into this have the most impractical university/college degree fields possible.

I’ve always believed if you really love what you do for a living, it isn’t work.

I don’t know if that woman followed her heart’s desire of working at sea. If she did, though, I’m sure she was happy and good at what she did.
