The FBI Reports Military Gang Members Are Funneling Heavy Weapons To The Streets
Business Insider ^ | 12/16/11 | Robert Johnson

Posted on 12/16/2011 10:07:00 AM PST by Nachum

The FBI released its gang assessment in October saying that of the 1.4 million gang members in the U.S., many are in the American military. The High Desert Daily Press, located near Fort Irwin, Ca. follows the FBI report up with an investigation of its own, finding gangs are getting ahold of high powered military weapons and munitions far more often than previously thought (via Military.com). Their story lists several cases where munitions may have been funneled by military gang members and civilian employees at military bases to California street gangs.

I don’t believe nor trust the FBI anymore.

From an honorable organization, they have become an organ of corrutpion for the present administration.

I do not believe this article.

I have a nephew in the army. He confirmed the problem with gangs inside our military. He has also fought with fellow soldiers over the counting of small arms. Many just want to say they did it and put the same numbers in as were reported previously.

Now why don’t I believe this?
Because it follows the same form as the “Mexican cartels are getting guns funneled to them via mom and pop firearms shops in America”?

I hate top bust their bubble, but the ATF, teh FBI themselves, and the DOJ are the ones responsible for this.

I'm sure Operations Fast & Furious, nor Castaway would have anything to do with this.

Right, Mr. Holder?

With perhaps a million servicemen in uniform there are going to be some bad apples. But the article fails to lend any sort of perspective. This could have been gained by contacting the various service intelligence public relations people. They would quickly put this into context and I’ll bet that context would have made this article unsalable.

Would not put it past the FBI to blame their illegal gun running and money laundering operation on the military personnel or any other innocent citizen. It is safe to assume that at least some of the grenades, guns and ammo they ran to the Cartels, ended up in our cities with drug dealing gangs.

However, we do know from other reports that the DOD has stupidly been recruiting gang members into the military. The US military training will come in handy when the Mexican cartels launch their hot war against the US establishment.

The level of human stupidity amazes me.

Hey, GI gang-member!
WTF has the gang ever done for you? Who is feeding your stupid butt? Who is training your stupid butt? Who is paying you, providing insurance, education and a future for you? When you leave the service, you will potentially have training, education and experience that other american’s have given you. You will have a future that the military has made possible.

And yet, these vermin, these degenerates want the approval of some ‘gang’ that can’t offer them anything more than a prision sentence and a shortened life; and what life they do have will be marked by preying on the weak and helpless.

I’m utterly amazed .... no concept of what ‘honor’ is, no idea of what ‘loyalty’ means, and as ungrateful as a Frenchman.

Many? WTH does that mean? This isn't new either.
In the '60s and early 70s, the military was full of scumbags stealing weapons and selling/giving them to the Black Panthers, Weather Underground, etc.

Obama and his Fast & Furious funneled heavy weapons to our streets and got Americans killed!

This has been going on for a long time and authorities have been well aware of it. The gangs have long bragged that they have members join the military solely for the purpose of being trained in wepons and to steal military wepons for use back home. I remember reading about it back in the 90s.

This all appears to be an incredibly convenient way to arm Obama's civilian national security force which he campaigned for with the following quote:
"we cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded."
Military training? check Equally equipped to military? check All too convenient with circumstances all too similar to "Fast and Furious".

The military has always had at least some bad apples, as any organization that size is bound to. And I think part of the problem is that the politically correct leaders, inside and outside the Pentagon, push affirmative action on the Recruiting Offices. They have specific orders to admit more blacks, more Hispanics, and as many Muslims as possible. Plus the woman question.

How big the problem is, I have no idea. I certainly agree that you cannot trust the FBI or the ATF on something like this. Not to speak of the politicians.
