ALLEN PARK, Mich. Protesters descended on a Lowe's store in one of the country's largest Arab-American communities on Saturday, calling for a boycott after the home improvement chain pulled its ads from a reality television show about five Muslim families living in Michigan. About 100 people gathered outside the store in Allen Park, a Detroit suburb adjacent to the city where "All-American Muslim" is filmed. Lowe's said this week that the TLC show had become a "lightning rod" for complaints, following an email campaign by a conservative Christian group.
Protesters including Christian clergy and lawmakers called for unity and held signs that read "Boycott Bigotry" and chanted "God Bless America, shame on Lowe's" during the rally, which was organized by a coalition of Christian, Muslim and civil rights groups.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Detroit Democrat and the first Muslim woman elected to the Michigan Legislature, said it was "disgusting" for Lowe's to stop supporting a show that reflects America the conservatives, liberals and even "the Kim Kardashians" in the Muslim community, she said.
"We're asking the company to change their mind," said protester Ray Holman, a legislative liaison for a United Auto Workers local. He said he was dismayed that the retailer "pulled sponsorship of a positive program." A local rabbi extended his support to clergy at the protest and local Arab Americans, saying he and other Jews would have been at the protest had it not fallen during the Jewish Sabbath.
"I hope that they would likewise stand up and demonstrate should something outrageous like this take place against another religion," Rabbi Jason Miller said in a statement.

well yeah...new fallujah....what do you expect.
Form what I have heard this show was failing and fixing to be pulled from the air waves
“Protesters including Christian clergy and lawmakers “
Ok, ok, I get it, Christians and Jews are showing up. How many of the angry mob were Muslim? Seems to be missing from the article.
Well if there is a big variety of types of Muslims I would like to see this. It is after all America. The show will make or break it on their own. I just glanced over the article but I don get protesting a reality show about Muslims in America. It sounds initially intriguing.

exactly. so if it had and it wasn’t compelling know one would have even heard about it . . . until now.
Lowes don’t care since them sumbiches don’t know how to “build” anything; only how to tear stuff down.
Muzzies-—tell your cousins in Saudi Arabia to fund the show. Then you wouldn’t need any sponsors.
Besides, Lowe’s doesn’t carry camel bridles and tent repair supplies, so what do you care? Leave them be.
100? A swarm..? ROTFLMAO!!!
You will indeed fight against the Jews and you will kill them to the point where the rock and the tree will say: O Muslim! O Abdullaah (slave of Allaah)! There is a Jew hiding behind me. Come and kill him. Except for al-Gharqad for it is from the trees of the Jews. Sahih Muslim Book 041, Number 6985
“...fixing to be pulled from the air waves...”
If you use “fixing to” in a sentence ... you just might be a redneck.
(my apologies, in advance, to Jeff Foxworthy)
Next headline I want to see:
“Lowe’s closes stores in Detroit”
See those pics. Read the signs. I volunteer to fly the F-15 and take them out.
Take them all out.
And bury them with rotten pork.
It is a pretty interesting show and I’m sorry Lowe’s pulled their ads.
Well, I am a redneck so “fixing is appropriate” in my case!
For the sake of those in Rio Linda, let’s make it clear that you photos had nothing to do with the Allen Park protest.
It had pretty good ratings at Penn State, I understand...
