You have some good assessments of the candidates. One thing is for certain, BO can't run on any accomplishments so their focus will be COMPLETELY DESTROYING whomever the opponent is. They've got 95% of all televised media in their corner. Look what they have done by just not reporting on stories. Have they even done a story on Jon Corzine and the 1.2 billion of clients money that is missing and the fact that BO and Biden sang his praises up one side and down the other? Where's the government's regulations on under reporting and lying media? Since they want to regulate everything else.

LOL(only to avoid tears). You are kinda right there with where I am. I see the serial adultery as his biggest problem with social conservatives. I see the Fannie/Freddie as a problem in the general with anyone who values honesty.

That said of the field remaining, I think he has the best shot at winning and offering a message of real choice, and I have truly enjoyed watching him in each and every debate I have seen.

Win, lose, or draw it has been interesting so far.

You’re right. It’s sickening how the the media has long abused both their power and the trust that the average American somehow still places in them. And they are hardly ever held accountable. The world needs to wake up and realize that the press can be as powerful as any branch of government....and just as corrupt.

Here in the US they have all but declared a propaganda war on half its citizens and we desperately need leaders who are willing to fight back. President Bush kept trying to win them over with kindness but that never worked. As with all bullies, it only emboldened them. The only way to get them to back off is to stand up to them. Gingrich has been one of the few to do just that. Others need to follow his lead.

Put them on the defensive. Break down the trust between the public and the press. Make them have to earn it back again by going equally hard after both sides.

Easier said than done. But playing nice hasn’t worked. It’s time we played hardball.

“Easier said than done. But playing nice hasn’t worked. It’s time we played hardball.”

There's only one way to do it. As much as these news networks (ABC,CBS,NBC, etc) espouse and propagandize for Obama, dims and their socialism they are in fact corporations. The only way you hurt them or get their attention is in the pocketbook. I personally refuse to watch anything on the alphabet networks as a matter of principle because of the propaganda they let their news shows spew. Do you think they notice that? It would take a massive amount of people giving them notice and tuning them out to send a message. That's not going to happen.

You’re right. Although i do think a message has already been sent but it has been largely ignored, with many in media willing to take a financial hit in order to continue to wield their power and wage their war on the right. Look at CNN. They have dramatically declined in the last decade and yet continue to try to fix things by bringing in one news chief after another who is a committed lefty. Never have they said “gee, you know, we do have a problem, we do a liberally dominated workforce here and it hurts both our objectivity as well as our viewership numbers....so we really ought to try to change the culture here, perhaps starting with bringing in an at least somewhat conservative news chief.”

But no, they don’t do that. Not CNN, not CBS, not Time magazine, not the NY Times. They know that a significant number of potential viewers are hungering for non-lefty news outlets but they refuse to give in even while they keep handing out pink slips.

That’s why i believe it’s going to take more than just tuning them out. The fat cats who run things can handle a cut in salary, for they’ll still be fat cats living the good life. It’s going to take a movement they hits them where it really hurts them - and that’s in shattering the myth that they are by-and-large objective bystanders or at least striving mightily to be so.

Shatter that and a lot of their influence is broken as well. And the time to do this is during a presidential year when people are following the news more closely and want to be given it straight, not slanted to a ridiculous degree. Perhaps some 501 type groups could run a spate of ads along the lines of: “Did you know the 89% of the media voted for Clinton 20 years ago? That 90% voted for Obama? Did you know about Journolist? A private leftwing forum where journalists traded ideas on how to protect liberal politicians and attack conservatives. Can you really trust the media to cover both sides fairly?”

“Perhaps some 501 type groups could run a spate of ads ...”

That’s a great idea but are they allowed to not take money and run ads for these groups if they don’t want to? I’m not familiar with that business and I can’t imagine the alphabet networks willingly running them. LOL!

lol, good point.....but who knows, that could work too. They could then say: “come and look at the ads that the media don’t want you to see!” and then put them up on a website and on youtube and hope they go viral.
