The Hitman Cometh: America to be 'War Zone'
American Thinker ^ | December 19, 2011 | John Griffing

Posted on 12/19/2011 1:39:44 AM PST by neverdem

An old adage reads, "If it quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck." The push by the Obama Administration to progressively strip Americans of basic liberties in the pursuit of political objectives has now taken on more draconian overtones, and no one seems to have noticed.

While the media quibbles over Romney versus Gingrich, the Occupy movement, and other diversions, President Obama continues to undermine law and order, dismantling the US Constitution piece by piece. When public officials seek to limit freedom, it can be concluded that these officials want to rule instead of govern. Cloaking seizures of power in clever misnomers does not validate the abuse of public office. What else can we conclude when Obama claims the illegal power to assassinate citizens at his whim? If citizen assassination were the only example of executive malfeasance emanating from Washington, Americans could breathe easier, except that citizen assassination, e.g. Awlaki, has opened the floodgates for a barrage of new power seizures. The ground softened, the first brick laid, Obama can now proceed unchallenged.

As I warned repeatedly in multiple articles over the last two years, the machinery put in place to thwart Islamic terrorism could be turned against citizens for political purposes, due to the broad constructions used in terror definitions. Only no one could have imagined the speed at which these things would come to pass:

The broad and ambiguous language found in the PATRIOT Act gives the president, whoever that may be, the power to determine what is and is not "terror." Section 411, G, vi, II of the PARIOT Act defines a terrorist as anyone "designated, upon publication in the Federal Register, by the Secretary of State in consultation with or upon the request of the Attorney General."

Everything that follows is contingent...

In retrospect, sections of the PATRIOT Act were really felony stupid with the radical left in control of the rats. They assumed conservatives, or at least the GOP, would control the White House forever. After Obama and Holder, assume the worst in rat administrations.

Very good article. Tyranny of “security” and Griffing does not even mention the totalitarianism of “mandates” and other poison pills FORCED on “free people” in the last 100 years. Obama and his current republican bootlickers are just the latest and greatest examples. (Why even mention financial totalitarians, crony collectivists and other assorted Obama bundlers?)

Truly a wonderful article that sums up why we are all feeling a vague sense of dread these days. America is fundamentally changing, RIGHT NOW. It never seemed possible that we would lose the freedoms our country was supposedly based on, but it appears it is happening in our lifetimes. I’m really not certain if there is any way to reverse the course at this point. The downside of freedom and wealth is that few people pay attention to the trends. They are happy with an SUV, Applebees, and a plasma 46”.

It is only when crackdowns occur that people will notice, and as with all modern dictatorships, it will require at least one full generation to throw off the yoke — unless, of course, modern technology has gamed the odds in a dictator’s benefit, then all bets are off.

If the dictatorship is brought to bear, and if it is even possible to throw off the shackles and bonds, then America will emerge a more freedom-aware place, but this will not happen for a long time. Our children will not quite live to see the re-emergence of freedom.

Where in the world can we go, to claim political asylum, if the last bastion of freedom — America — appears destined to fail?

I thought the article was too narrow, focusing only on what our government can do to us citizens. We are being hit by all fronts, the communist, the socialists, the anarchist, the drug lords, the Muzzies, the Mexican racist that think we are part of their country,

It didn’t mention anything about California’s two law system, one for Americans and one for invaders. The Americans that have to support the invaders.

It didn’t mention anything about the United Nations, their ability to tax our travel and tax everything that leaves and comes into our country. Tax our energy.

The United Nations and their ability to designate individual Americans as criminals.

The UN and their giving sanctuary in America to only Muzzies.

There was no mention of human trafficking by a third world country in our own country, the Obama’s administration’s approval of drug routes to Illinois. The money laundering of drug cartel money by the Obama administration. The intimidation by racists at the voting booth.

Our country is becoming a country of the divided.

This is not just an attack on American Citizens it is an attack on the wrong CLASS of citizens.

If you are part of the ruling elite you can never be accused or charged or even suspected of “terrorism”. If you a part of the “great un-washed”, live in fly-over country, or have the audacity to have an allegiance to God over homeland then you are at the very least expendable and probably suspect.

This article should be read by all Americans while we are still free. It will clearly show just how important the upcoming election is and that we only have one more chance to preserve our freedoms and lifestyles for ourselves, our children and their lineage.

After 2012, there will not be a second chance to impact the future for it will be sealed if we don’t get rid of Obama, his Marxist cabinet and appointees, his “stacked” Supreme Court and federal courts, his his lackeys (the GOP) and all who want to (and have) ignored the Constitution and the freedoms granted along with the restrictions of power of government.

It needs to be passed around for freedom loving Americans to read before we will be told what to read by the government.

Everything about the war on terror has robbed us of liberties. I’m only amazed that it took until 2011 for the ruling class to get it all codified in legislation. The legal means will exist (as soon as Obummer signs the legislation) for the military to arrest an American citizen in their home and send them to Gitmo never to be heard from again. All a politician has to do is point at you and call you a terrorist.

There was a reason the Founders gave precious little power to the government; they knew the government would wield that power to take our freedom away!

When John McCain admonished his supporter for using Obama's middle name, and when McCain affirmatively assured America that Obama was to be trusted and would make a fine president, I thought he was trying to be politically correct and trying to ward off charges of racism.

Now I understand that John McCain just doesn't get it. He has no idea the threat his passivity enabled to win the White House and he has no idea the truly pernicious threat this kind of legislation will put into the hands of a potential tyrant.

As goes McCain, so goes Lindsey Graham. And the problem is that McCain has so much credibility as a patriot that his fecklessness undermines those who can still think prudently.

I have been posting since before Obama's inauguration that the man is dangerous. Any head of state who fails to repudiate the cult of personality that grew up around Obama betrays a sociopathic personality which is profoundly dangerous. You are absolutely right, we could be in very serious trouble. A glance around the globe can tell you that we are vulnerable to a Black Swan event at any second providing a tyrant the pretext he needs to usurp our liberties and destroy our grand experiment.

If they,[the GOP in the Senate] believe that obama intends to use this law whom they consider "terrorists" or "terrorists groups"they are seriously deluded.

The "terrorists groups" obama indends to use this law against include but is not limited to the Tea Party, the NRA,and when the time comes, the Republican Party. The individuals this law was intended for include but is not limited to Tea Party members, NRA members, legimate gun owners, Conservatives, Christians , Jews, bankers, and aanyone that has or he perceives will oppose him. The Jews and bankers that have financed him will be genuinely surprised when he turns on them. They will have been caught flatfooted because instead of opening their eyes to the reality of what he is actually doing to them, they have been puckering up and kissing his ass each time he presents it to them.

With all due respect to John Griffing presidents, oops, 'our government' has been whacking people, yes even Americans, for a very very long time. And, on American soil. They, the POTUS, just always had 'plausible deniability -- 'Huh? Who? What assassination?'

It wasn't until President Ford wrote an EO that (cough-BS) 'officially outlawed' (cough-BS) the practice. The Patriot Act just made it 'legal' again. And shall we say, more 'out in the open'. Or, 'in your face, homey!'

Note: the CIA didn't start to 'go rogue' all of a sudden when Dubya was POTUS and magically start working against him just for kicks. Those boys had practice.

In my opinion, McCain knew exactly what he was doing.

McCain didn't care about the rock solid republican, conservative base. His comments that day were directed at those independent voters who were on the fence. McCain reassured them, in fact he consoled them, telling them it was really ok to pick the man your instincts told you was trouble.

He let them off the hook, used the trust, those who believe he is a hero granted him and delivered this country into the hands of Hussein. The election was over at that moment.

You two guys are among my favorite posters...I ain’t worried, I’ll just have Laz send me one of his famous street sweeper, .50 Cal. automatic revolver baby killer handguns.

Very interesting question here - do McCain and Graham really understand what they are doing? My vote is split - I think McCain is simply witless and a pawn of others, but Lindsay Grahamnesty methinks is compromised by the darker powers in DC. Somebody has some real goods on him.

Still, it probably doesn’t matter all that much. The outcome is baked in the cake both societally and financially. The powers that be are indeed looking to a Reichstagsfeuer or other African-American Swan event. Precious little time to really prepare now...get out of the cities, redeploy investments into metals (silver, brass, lead), make a few really good friends, pray without ceasing, vote constitutionally where possible and hang on.

Shalom

We are an oligarchy being run by lawyers.

Hussein is not the only culprit in this game.

The fact is, our national government is based on laws requiring thousands of pages of rules, regulations, penalties and punishments for each bill, that no single person could ever understand nor comprehend.

Every lobbyist, staffer, lawyer, peon and other untermensch in Washington DC gets to actullay write the codes and the so called "Leaders", with their fingers forever in the air testing the "Vox Publius" breeze simply sign it if it has a great sounding title.

The only thing we have got that they haven't been able to take is our freedom to defend ourselves. Still, the latest decision "allowing" us to bear arms was a squeaker; it never should have been.

Now, as Ben Franklin said, "We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."

To that end, one of the most important thing I've ever done is join Oath Keepers. At some point this organization will probably be declared a Terrorist Group, but if you were ever a GI or a policeman or fireman, you can join. We simply proclaim we will fufill our oath to the US Constitution.

Here's what I swore to (numerous times, in fact):

I, Alas Babylon!, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.

There is another possibility which requires that we take off one tinfoil hat and put on another tinfoil hat. Recently I heard Michelle Bachmann agreeing to the need to store up provisions against a cataclysmic financial breakdown. In the course of that discussion she said words to the effect, "as worried as I am about the financial situation I am even more concerned about national security and I come to that fear as a result of my membership in the House Intelligence Committee."

As I asked in a previous post, what spooked her? Is there something afoot about which our elected representatives have been made privy which is so scared them that they would resort to this kind of end game extra constitutional legislation?

I say frankly that it is difficult for me to believe that John McCain, having endured what he endured in the Hanoi Hilton which brought him to the point of death from which he was only relieved by a kind of spiritual experience in which he dedicated himself to his country, would now set all of that to naught at the sunset of his career and his life.

I feel more comfortable wearing the tinfoil hat that says that there is something afoot rather than the tinfoil hat that says there is a giant conspiracy prompting all of these legislators to sellout the country.

I think they know a lot more about the Iran/Israel situation, and fear that an IDF attack on Iranian nuke sites will lead to a regional missile exchange, and then all bets are off. That’s my guess.

The Israelies mean it when they say, “Never Again.” They will attack before Iran puts nuclear warheads atop missiles. And then the genie will be out of the bottle.

That is my dos centavos.

Thank you for the Bachmann quote; I had not seen that. It parallels the language from several in the Congress in 2008 when ‘disaster was averted’ - they said that unless Paulson’s liquidity injections were effected immediately, there would be riots, etc. That hyperbole aside, there is something afoot. And we are kept in the dark for the sake of the social order. Sheesh.

I agree...McCain is not deliberately destroying the US. He is being manipulated, I believe.

The national security concern I have points to the power transmission nodes in our electrical grid. A few very large power transformers could be taken out and reduce our republic to rolling brown-outs or black-outs for a year or two (if we were lucky).

In short, the populace is increasingly technologically vulnerable, socially fragmented, politically misinformed and devoid of any moral cohesion. The inner city youth in Philadelphia will not wait in line for an apple and a quart of milk.

Heavy weather ahead.

Shalom
