The Hitman Cometh: America to be 'War Zone'
American Thinker ^ | December 19, 2011 | John Griffing

An old adage reads, "If it quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck." The push by the Obama Administration to progressively strip Americans of basic liberties in the pursuit of political objectives has now taken on more draconian overtones, and no one seems to have noticed.

While the media quibbles over Romney versus Gingrich, the Occupy movement, and other diversions, President Obama continues to undermine law and order, dismantling the US Constitution piece by piece. When public officials seek to limit freedom, it can be concluded that these officials want to rule instead of govern. Cloaking seizures of power in clever misnomers does not validate the abuse of public office. What else can we conclude when Obama claims the illegal power to assassinate citizens at his whim? If citizen assassination were the only example of executive malfeasance emanating from Washington, Americans could breathe easier, except that citizen assassination, e.g. Awlaki, has opened the floodgates for a barrage of new power seizures. The ground softened, the first brick laid, Obama can now proceed unchallenged.

As I warned repeatedly in multiple articles over the last two years, the machinery put in place to thwart Islamic terrorism could be turned against citizens for political purposes, due to the broad constructions used in terror definitions. Only no one could have imagined the speed at which these things would come to pass:

The broad and ambiguous language found in the PATRIOT Act gives the president, whoever that may be, the power to determine what is and is not "terror." Section 411, G, vi, II of the PARIOT Act defines a terrorist as anyone "designated, upon publication in the Federal Register, by the Secretary of State in consultation with or upon the request of the Attorney General."

Everything that follows is contingent...

Your whole post was terrific, especially this excerpt:

If the dictatorship is brought to bear, and if it is even possible to throw off the shackles and bonds, then America will emerge a more freedom-aware place, but this will not happen for a long time. Our children will not quite live to see the re-emergence of freedom.

Where in the world can we go, to claim political asylum, if the last bastion of freedom — America — appears destined to fail?

It is good to see your serious side, and your question is exactly the right one to ask. May G-d help us in 2012 to defeat the Obamanation and to keep the mantle of freedom bequeathed to us by better men.

I agree. I suspect a complete currency collapse in the 2012 - 2016 timeframe.

I think they know a lot more about the Iran/Israel situation, and fear that an IDF attack on Iranian nuke sites will lead to a regional missile exchange, and then all bets are off. That’s my guess.

The Israelies mean it when they say, “Never Again.” They will attack before Iran puts nuclear warheads atop missiles. And then the genie will be out of the bottle.

That is my dos centavos.

Thank you for the Bachmann quote; I had not seen that. It parallels the language from several in the Congress in 2008 when ‘disaster was averted’ - they said that unless Paulson’s liquidity injections were effected immediately, there would be riots, etc. That hyperbole aside, there is something afoot. And we are kept in the dark for the sake of the social order. Sheesh.

I agree...McCain is not deliberately destroying the US. He is being manipulated, I believe.

The national security concern I have points to the power transmission nodes in our electrical grid. A few very large power transformers could be taken out and reduce our republic to rolling brown-outs or black-outs for a year or two (if we were lucky).

In short, the populace is increasingly technologically vulnerable, socially fragmented, politically misinformed and devoid of any moral cohesion. The inner city youth in Philadelphia will not wait in line for an apple and a quart of milk.

Heavy weather ahead.

Shalom

Excellent analysis.

If there is time, I recommend a book about this very scenario unfolding. Your literature is well recieved in the community, and this is one good way to put that scenario out there.

I fear us working folks who created the wealth in the USA will be rounded up by the “Bombanites” as were the Jews in Germany and we will be shuffled off to the gas chambers!

We must not let this happen!

I’m just trying to shine my little imaginary light forward into the future. I hope some people get spurred to action by my novels. Or for the short course, just read my CW2 cube. Google “Bracken CW2 Cube” to find it.

“It is only when crackdowns occur that people will notice, and as with all modern dictatorships, it will require at least one full generation to throw off the yoke — unless, of course, modern technology has gamed the odds in a dictator’s benefit, then all bets are off.”

As much as I enjoy computers and the technological advances of “the digital age”, it is computers (and the power they give to those who “officiate” over us) that have made the likelihood of “Orwellian-style control” easily achievable.

Big Brother (the man) could not watch everyone.
But Big Computer _can_ ....

“Where in the world can we go, to claim political asylum, if the last bastion of freedom — America — appears destined to fail?”

In previous lives and times, I’ve written about the coming “Great Divide” in North America (a la the “Commonwealth of Independent States). Can’t happen here, right? Right?

Yep, seeing my country slowly turn into a totalitarian police state before my eyes is deeply depressing. The warning signs have been around for a while now, but I guess most of us chose to ignore them, and now it’s almost too late.

I feel your pain with regards to which hat to put on, in fact I was on that very same fence a long long time ago, I jumped off right before it came crashing down. I do not believe for a second that these people in congress are ignorant or stupid, unfortunately that only leaves one option. They are ALL COMPLICIT in one way or another. It appears pretty obvious that we have a difference of opinion regarding Juan McLame, I also don’t believe in Unicorns either.

The melting away of liberty is the inevitable result of the loss of the fear of God, and of the abandonment of respect in law for the unalienable right to life of all of those who are made in God’s image.

If you’re still giving any sort of political aid and comfort to the abortionists, any at all, quit whining about losing your own rights.

The time is coming...sooner than later, where Americans will have to anjectly and direlty choose. We are at that crossroads and it is a crossroads where life and liberty exist on one side, and enslavement, tyranny, and death await on the other.

We still have the second amendment in place and something like 160 million Americans are well armed with 6 hundred million weapons and billions of rounds of ammo.

We have a military that itself will face the same decisions we make, both regular and guard and probably something approaching or somewhat over half will fight with and for the people if they can organize and decide.

...and most important of all, there is still a God in Heaven, and HE presides over the destinies of nations, today just as he did in Patrick Henry's day.

Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty, and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone. There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations, and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged!
I believe we shall prevail. But I also believe it will get ugly...very ugly, should we not avail ourselves of, and utilize, in 2012 the means at our disposal, to turn this around with a vote. Even then, it may well get just as ugly as millions of people who have become used to the dole and the entrapment of the thievery of the public largess rebel at it being set aright and brought to a stop.

Just the same, we showed in 2010 that it is possible, and our part will be helped by having a conservative, lyoal American executive and majjorities in the House and Senate. But even without those, as we showed King George and so many other tyrants since, the Americna people can rise and set things aright if necessary...and it is necessary that our Constitution and all that it enumerates, be preserved. if we are to remain free.

This may well be one of our last chances to do so, but I believe we can...but I also believe we must be prepared, and ensure that the would-be tyrants understand our resolve to stand and fight should they bring it to that.

And they intend to bring it to that, IMHO, as I said, sooner rather than later.

As you say, Laz, they may try and usurp this very election process which will bring it on sooner. Time will tell, and we all must be prepared physically, mentally...and spiritually, because in the end, this contest is a contest of life and liberty vs. death and tyanny...and a most basic contest of good vs. evil.
