HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A couple of thieves are helping themselves to some high-end champagne. It may seem like small potatoes, but these thieves aren't just stocking the bar for a holiday party. Investigators believe they may be behind multiple thefts, and the brands they're taking are worth hundreds of dollars.

**snip & edit**

Thieves are going to the back of the store to the locked cabinets and picking out the most expensive stuff before leaving without paying a nickel.

At a time when many are in the spirit of giving, others are acting more like the Grinch, especially at one Randalls store. In the past month, police suspect a duo has hit the Memorial-area grocery store four times, each time targeting just one thing -- high-priced champagnes.

"Just as people are selling gold and people are selling their silver, they are going after things that can go quick and money. There's no serial numbers on it, they can get rid of it quick and get quick money," Randalls shopper Jo Ann Schwartz Woodward said.

If it is the Randalls on Voss, that store has the best eye candy for men.

Interesting bit there near the end, about how celebrities mentioning certain brands make thefts of those products go up.

I don't need to hear the names of those celebs, I can pretty much guess who they're talking about.

I think this was the Randall’s on Memorial Drive. Randall’s on Voss is not as good as it used to be...

Go to Rice Epicurian for the best eye candy.
