I’m going to try to answer Mike’s question as succinctly as possible. The US State Department sells the political influence and power they wield to hold domestic business in check through taxes and oppressive legislation to the highest bidder. This allows global competators to play “catch up” at our expense. At the present time, China is that highest bidder, with Saudi Arabia in a distant second.
