The President Cannot Win Reelection with White, Working Class Voters

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: The story is now across the pond, UK Daily Mail: "President Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign will be the first in modern political history to abandon white working class voters, strategists claim. For decades, Democrats have been losing more and more blue collar whites. Their alienation helped lead to the massive Republican wave in 2010," the midterms, "when the GOP wooed 30 percent more of them than the Democrats could. Democratic strategists say President Obama is focusing his attention, instead, on poor black and Hispanic voters and educated white professionals." They're just recycling Thomas B. Edsall's piece that was now three weeks ago old. It was in the op-ed section of the New York Times. Edsall used to write in the Washington Post, now he's a big liberal muckety-muck at the Huffing and Puffington Post. And when I saw that piece on that Monday in the New York Times, remember, I told you this is big; it's not getting anywhere near the attention it ought to be getting from the Republicans.

It ought to be a staple of the Republican primary campaign. Newt, Mitt, Perry, Bachmann, they all ought to be talking about this. You have the first black president admitting, his campaign admitting, they're not interested in the votes of white working class Americans. They're not interested. They're going after poor blacks and Hispanics, minorities, and the educated white elite, which would be professors, Hollywood types, Wall Street types, CEOs, this kind of thing. Now, I think, folks, it is paramount to keep this front and center. This is a divisive approach. This is an approach by the president of the United States to divide the people of this country as we watch the campaign roll out. And there is also now a couple stories I have in the Stack about how the regime plans on using women in the campaign. In fact, there's a phrase in one of the stories that women will actually be the canaries in the coal mine in terms of deciphering which policies will work and which ones won't, which campaign strategies will work and which ones won't.

Now, this UK Daily Mail piece is from November 28th. Not a big deal was made of it at the time, but I ran across it, and I just want to point out to you that the story has found its way across the pond. Now, I always trust my instincts. My instincts have never failed me. I think this is huge. Can you imagine running around, if you're Republican, the ammo this gives you? The president of the United States, one of his top strategists admitting they can't get, and are not interested in getting, the votes of white working class voters? I don't even mean to make it racial. Take white out of the equation.
Just working class voters. Not interested in 'em. The fact they happen to be white is incidental. No, not to the Obama people, but I mean you gotta be careful how you go about this if you're gonna use it.

"The 2012 approach treats white voters without college degrees as an unattainable cohort," says Thomas B. Edsall. "The Obama campaign has not explicitly announced this strategy. However, strategists point to it as the likely path of the president's victory, given demographic data from previous elections." Meaning he can't win with them. What does it tell you? The president of the United States cannot win the election with the votes of working class white families. "Ruy Teixeira, a strategist at the liberal Center for American Progress, wrote in 1995 that if President Clinton couldn't win white blue collar workers, his re-election bid would be doomed."

That was 1995. Fast forward 15 years, and they've made an about-face. The Republican Party has become the party of the white working class, says the same guy, Ruy Teixeira. "However, he warns that losing whites without college degrees altogether would be disastrous. There simply are not enough college-educated whites, Hispanics and blacks who will make a Democratic majority. President Obama can still get away with losing white Americans by 17 percent, as Senator John Kerry," who served in Vietnam, by the way, did in 2004. That's the lay of the land.

If true I wonder if it means the demographics have so shifted to Third Worlders that white votes are no longer necessary.

Democrats depend heavily on white working-class voters. If the Democrats are abandoning them, then you can simply put Pennsylvania and Michigan--along with Wisconsin, Iowa, and Missouri--in the Republican column without needing to do any polls.

They're going ... the educated white elite, which would be professors, Hollywood types, Wall Street types, CEOs, this kind of thing.

Four problems with this strategy that should jump out at them:

1) The question is, how "educated"? People with only a BS or maybe with an MBA are not the sort of cocktail party types he can go after. They're suburban, business-oriented, mostly Christian, and therefore lean right.

2) There are no where near enough "educated white elite" to win an election.

3) The "educated white elite" all live in deep blue states that are going to Obama anyway. If Obama is worried about winning Wall Street types and Hollywood types, it means a tacit admission that New York and California are now in play. If that is the case--and I'm not sure it is--Obama shouldn't even bother running again.

No, it means Obama loses.

Republicans can make this one of the most profoundly lopsided victories in American electoral history by coming up with something to attract YOUTH.

We have had four years of college grads pour into a very sour employment situation ~ they are unemployed, marginally employed, or employed in things having nothing to do with what they've trained for or care about.

We've had four years of highschool grads who weren't going to attend college also poured out into an abysmal employment situation. Many of these kids would have gone into the trades ~ but housing is dead!

With Obama's Porkulus down the drain there's nothing in the kitty to hire NEW SCHOOL TEACHERS, so even that core constituency ~ young Democrat female teachers ~ are not going to be all too happy!

California is in play. People there are becoming frightened of what Ol'Jer Brown and his running dog lackeys are into ~ which is NO SOLUTIONS!

They can't even plan on borrowing more money at any interest rate.

Obama could start referring to people as comrade and fly the hammer and sicle from the White House, and California would still vote for him vote for him in greater numbers.

That's okay, more than enough dead folk and multiple-voting college kids to make up for it.

That decision has been made -- the Democrats are running with it. They're going to try to blow America away by appealing to ethnic division, college-brainwashed UMC types, and feminist married-to-Big-Government women. That was Obozo's message in that photo-op he did a week or 10 days ago with a group of middle-aged women, mostly white, when he shot his mouth off about congressional Republicans trying to shut the Government down.

His message to women was, "I've got your next check right here in my hand -- better get on board!"

Same crap Hillary and Tommy Dasschole sold Slick in 1995 with their government-shutdown play. Worked great, my Reagan-Democratic women friends became absolutely wild-eyed with fear after that and blame Republicans for everything from that day to this, 15 solid years of Democratic b.s. from them out of one bigfoot ploy with the paycheck.

No one who analyzes politics has a problem discussing the “black vote” or the “hispanic vote”, or the “Asian vote”.

However, there now seems to a white voting bloc that few care to admit exists. Fact is, not since LBJ in 1964, has the Democrat Party won a majority of the white vote in any presidential election since. In last year’s midterm elections, GOP congressional and gubernatorial candidates garnered nearly 65% of the white vote.

Women. See my last.

The Pew demographic surveys that they update every few years (1999, 2005, last year) have consistently shown that the biggest, most solid demographic group in the liberal-Democratic armory is educated women, esp. women with advanced degrees. They are sharp, resourceful, good at organizing (like Republican women), doctrinaire, hate men, and are married ideologically to the DimRat Party.

This is the rock of DimRat fortunes -- women and the black vote, and, they hope, eventually the Mexican vote, which will break reliably 70/30 DemonRat whenever the 'Rats can get them into the polls (cf. Loretta Sanchez and her sister). *

Here is the significance of feminism:

Make a pie chart of the U.S. population. Minorities are 25%. Divide the rest in two, right down the middle. This is what Betty Friedan set out to deliver to the Communists (she was a Communist -- check her bio on Wiki) when she started laying out the arguments and dissatisfactions (agitation) that we now call "feminism".

Organize women around your b.s. propaganda issues, and you've put the whole society in play.

* (I said Mexican, because South American and Central American immigrants, when they get their papers and begin voting, tend to split up the middle. But Mexicans are "culturally conservative"; ie. they are tendentiously Socialist, either PRI or PRD; which is a leftover dividend for the CommieRats from the days of the 1919 Mexican Revolution.) That's why Lyndon Johnson and Ted Kennedy wanted Mexican mass-immigration (not "Hispanic") when they wrote the disastrous 1965 immigration law.

My anecdotal evidence shows you are correct. The only Obama 2012 bumper stickers I’ve seen were on the cars of disheveled middle-aged white women who I would guess are teachers or social workers....

Fact is, not since LBJ in 1964, has the Democrat Party won a majority of the white vote in any presidential election since.

Behind a troika of ideological white middle-class women, the Democratic Party under chairwoman Molly Yard, in 2002, tried to get back into statewide office with a solid appeal to minorities: the top of the ticket was Tony Sanchez, a Mexican-American businessman with some MeCha ties down in the Rio Grande Valley, who ran for governor. With him were their candidate for U.S. senator, a black city councilman from Dallas well known for his ethnic politicking, and old John Sharp for state comptroller (CFO). Sharp, a fiscally-conservative Democrat with a reputation for honesty, was Yard et al.'s concession to the white "yaller dog" Democrats in East Texas, who they hoped would turn out to vote Democratic as usual.

The "yaller dogs" stayed home, and the Texas Democrats were crushed across the board and in detail. Democrats in statewide office became extinct -- from having a chokehold as recently as 15 years earlier.

The only thing missing in your new movie about America is who is going to play OUR General Pinochet. God, I miss him!

Somebody on Team Obama can add real good.

Obama doesn't need the "white working class vote," such as it is. He's got the women, he has the blacks, and he has whatever illegal alien Hispanics ACORN can round up or invent. I gotta salute the Sanchez Sluts. Their creative computer use and the trick of giving DEAD illegals entire virtual families at non-existent addresses and then getting them all registered for absentee ballots, was absolutely masterful, not to mention convicted felons. Throw in queers, schoolteachers, and the dead of Baltimore. That's the big states and the electoral college, Baby! A Republican ticket composed of G. Washington and J.H. Christ wouldn't stand a chance in the big states.

I told you guys letting women vote was a mistake. Did you listen? NOOOOOOO!

But there's some good news, too. Among the 11 registered white men left in Wyoming, the Republican could get 100%. Boys, this puppy gonna be real close.
