The same week, a drug cartel member deported as part of the bust returned to Arizona and was caught with $1.6 million worth of drugs in just one example of how relentless the Sinaloa cartel can be.

If he was dead, that wouldn’t happen again.

Right. And there would be no one to take up where he left off...

They could eradicate all the world's coca plants? And keep doing it faster than coca grows?

“They could eradicate all the world’s coca plants? And keep doing it faster than coca grows? “

If you can put a team in a compound 11 thousand miles away and take out a terrorist, I don’t think it would be that hard to take out some high level narco-traffickers a few hundred miles away.

Narco-traffickers are replaced faster than coca grows - criminals can't get a higher profit margin anywhere else.

“Narco-traffickers are replaced faster than coca grows - criminals can’t get a higher profit margin anywhere else.”

It isn’t hard. Just have to have the willingness to take the fight to them. The way to beat them is to terrorize them.

The Soviets in the 70’s proved it works. Someone sent them a finger, they sent back a head. You start wiping out middle management and eventually no one wants the job.

Granted, maybe not in a weekend. However, finding Narco heads strewn along a highway somewhere will make people think. Do it enough and you eventually get the people on your side.

So you advocate becoming the Soviet Union in order to achieve Soviet levels of drug activity? Sorry, I prefer the Constitution.

Just think, if the Feds cut funding to Arizona they have all that drug money.
And the drug money isn't tax money, sooooo.

I advocate doing whatever it takes to eradicate it. They are killing our kids. We are giving them guns. And since it is called a war(for the past 30 years), let’s treat it as one.

Sorry, I didn’t answer the question. This has nothing to do with Soviet levels of drug activity. It had to do with the Soviets use of terror against their enemies.

To be specific, http://articles.latimes.com/1986-01-07/news/mn-13892_1_soviets

Wait until you get to the last line...

I advocate adhering to the vision of our Founding Fathers.

They are killing our kids.

It's for the children, eh, Hillary? Kids die from booze, too - better ban that. Also fast cars, and ....

If it has nothing to do with Soviet levels of drug activity, what is it you'd hope to achieve by our use of terror?

“I advocate adhering to the vision of our Founding Fathers.”

So using that logic, you were against us killing Bin Laden?

The subject under discussion was traffickers. As soon as they commit terrorism against U.S. citizens, take them out - but that won't end the drug trade.
