I’m not insecure in my faith. I’m a convert to Judaism so clearly I’m quite comfortable in my faith.
Let’s not twist things around.
Fine. Don't celebrate it. Just don't pee on people who DO like celebrating it.
Which part of the Tora is it that forbids you from celebrating Christmas? Chapter and verse if you please.

The point of the article is that here there is a Jewish parent who was so offended by the idea of Christmas and Santa that he got it taken away for everyone. That's really going to promote good feelings, is it?
Having grown up in NYC, it seemed to me, who attended Catholic school, the kids in public schools benefited from both the Christian and Jewish holidays, because the public schools were always closed for Jewish holidays. Oh, and us Christians who used public transportation suffered because the buses and subways operated on "holiday" schedules and it made it difficult for us to get to school on time. Fortunately, the nuns were aware of that fact and there were no "lates" given out on Jewish holidays in my Catholic High School.
Sigh.

There are no specific verses that forbid us from celebrating Christmas,but it is a Christian holiday and we do not believe Jesus is G-d in the flesh. We do not believe he was born to a virgin.
We believe G-d is one and completely indivisible and that the trinity breaks G-d into threes,which is polytheism,not monotheism. G-d makes it very clear that He is not a man and that He cannot be seen. I can provide verses if you’d like.

Yes, that was my point. It creates ill-will to no real benefit. I think there's one or two items in the Talmud about going out of your way to create offense in the gentile community.
There are people who believe that the Talmud is racist and anti-gentile.Nothing could be further from the truth. Ill will goes against what the L-rd wants.

What I meant to say was that there’s passages in the Talmud AGAINST going out of your way to create offense.
Me, too. This never would have happened in the America that I grew up in. My wish for this season is to see a rebirth of that nation, where we appreciate and enjoy each others' traditions because the joy of being free person in America transcends whatever differences we might have.
