A federal judge on Thursday blocked three key provisions of South Carolina's controversial law cracking down on illegal immigration.
U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel granted the federal government's request for an injunction against the law that's set to take effect Jan. 1.
The ruling applies to portions that require law officers to check the status of anyone they stop for something else and suspect is in the country illegally. Gergel also halted the implementation of sections pertaining to the transportation of illegal immigrants and immigrant registration cards.

When o When are these governors going to grow a set and tell the Federal judge to get lost. They have no jurisdiction over a sovereign state. Only SCOTUS does. The constitution is very clear.

In 1994 California passed Proposition 187 to establish a state-run citizenship screening system and prohibit illegal aliens from using health care, public education, and other social services in the U.S. State of California. Voters passed the proposed law as a referendum in November 1994, citing economic concerns. Majority rules, right? Wrong.
The law was challenged in a legal suit and found unconstitutional by a federal court. In 1999, Governor Gray Davis halted state appeals against the ruling.
At that point I realized that the people no longer have a voice in how this country operates. We've been co-opted by federal bureaucrats and a judicial system that ignores the demands of the people and merrily proceeds to build its utopian welfare state. It uses any means necessary, including voter fraud, to accomplish its goals.
Many Californians here warned the same dictatorial policies were headed to other states. We were met with hoots about "land of fruits and nuts," and "we hope California falls into the ocean." Welcome to the future, FRiends.

Let me understand this...a leftist, Marxist judge rules against a state law and the state must cease and desist right away. But....a Federal Judge rules that Obamacare is unconstitutional and no implementation of any kind should be allowed to move forward until the Supreme Court gives its final ruling and his order is completely ignored and billions are spent on implementation?
