Repeal Elections for McConnell and Boehner or Just Resign as Sorry "Leaders?"
Graewoulf | December 23, 2011 | Graewoulf

Posted on 12/22/2011 10:23:26 PM PST by Graewoulf

The last non-Socialist Leader in the US Federal Government caved in last night to the Socialist-Democrat Wing of the once proud Democrat Party. Yep, ol' Boehner-Head finally cut all pretense of protecting the TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY folks from the terrible damage done to America by the Socialist-Democrats led by Chairman Obama, "Bottleneck" Reid and of course, certifiably brain-dead, Ex-Bottleneck, Princess Nancy.

All of this could have been avoided if Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell had not joined the Socialist-Democrat Party and caved in to "Bottleneck" Reid on the payroll 2/3 tax "deal." Pay 2 month taxes on a quarterly basis. Yep, both Mitch and Boehner are either cowards or stuck on stupid. In my humble, but ALWAYS correct opinion, it is both for each of them.

Now that there is no one in the District of Corruption to protect America, it is up to us to stop the destruction that is Obamanation.

Should the sorry Congressional "Leaders," McConnell and Boehner resign their LEADERSHIP positions in 2011, or should repeal elections be held in early 2012 to put them in a more honest profession, such as used car salesmen?

McConnell has to go. He screwed the country in the summer and he screwed the country now. He back stabbed the House twice. He must go. He is Reid's second favorite poodle, second only to Obama.

I simply don't get Boehner. He has the ability to talk the talk and correctly define the issues before the American people. But when faced with even the hint of pressure, he folds like a house of cards. This latest episode defies logic. The GOP House had effectively won. They had correctly pointed out that it was the Senate that had not done its job, and that they were sitting there waiting on the proper course of events to take their course. Obama was looking like an absolute fool in front of the American people, so much so that he had his dog flown back from Hawaii just so he could use him in a photo-op. Yet once again, the GOP snatches defeat out of the jaws of victory.

McConnell is completely worthless. He might as well go ahead and switch parties since he is working for the other side already. It was McConnell that did Obama and Reid's bidding for them.

I say Boehner first, and Cantor. McConnell would never have sent the bill over to the House if he had any idea Boehner could not get it passed. Boehner is inept and incompetent, he may as well polish up that gavel because the way he’s going, he’ll be turning it back over to Nancy Pelosi before long. (Who was FAR more effective in doing the job of Speaker than he is!)

The point of having a Majority is to be able to rally your troops and get things done. Boehner and Cantor are utter failures at that - they’ve screwed up every time they’ve tried. Name one time when Boehner’s great ideas of standing up to the Dems and Obama has worked...just one time!

I am beyond words to describe how ridiculously incompetent these guys are. 11% approval rating? That’s about 10 points too high. To have screwed this up as badly as they have and then come crawling back on their bellies after giving Obama everything he could ask for is grounds for resignation. Let someone with a brain run the House and maybe act like a majority party.

It does -not- defy logic if you accept the premise that the GOP is a FALSE FRONT. It is not a conservative party, it does not promote conservative or even libertarian principals. The GOP is to American Constitutional principles what Vidkun Quisling was to Norwegian national defense.

Accept the premise that it is all a charade and everything the GOP has done for the past decade or two is perfectly logical, consistent and indeed sophisticated.

If only McConnell was as fierce as Pelosi was when she was Minority Leader in the House. Nice guys finish last.

Well...seems to me this just moves the same argument closer to the election itself. What else has changed?

I'm not purporting to know the political intricacies of this whole maneuver but if you delete the media in full cry and the wailing of the right wing then won't we really will be in the same place in 2 months? And then won't the GOP have the argument that this BS is because the rats refused to deal with it in Dec? In the end both sides will have to make the same arguments but w/o the Christmas holiday staring them down.

And honestly, how many Americans actually believe that we aren't in deep do do and it's the rat's who contributed the majority of the spending that put us here?

I say they accepted the Dem premise that this is a tax cut and were trying to extend it for a year, when it is a DEFUNDING of Social Security. A holiday from FICA was proposed to help the economy, but the time is up; now they want to extend it, the Dems are calling NOT extending it a tax hike, and the Repubs are accepting Dem language, as usual.

If they had any backbone, they would have said no deal. You dems are defunding SS when it is already going broke.

The Repubs simply cannot tell it like it is, maybe because they can't see it like it is.

Now, they are TEMPORARILY (yeah, right!) funding SS with a tax on new mortgages and refinancing, which will be paid Tah Dah!!! --by the haves, while the have nots will not pay a dime.

Looks like another ploy for Income Redistribution to me. Will FICA ever be reinstated? I doubt it. I also doubt the mortgage fee will make up the difference and more "fees" will be instigated elsewhere.

They have been farting around and taking heat over this while letting EPA close coal utilities, putting thousands more out of work and raising electric bills. They are letting the Admin and EPA/treehuggers keep the pipeline from being built and making thousands of jobs.

Are these "leaders" stupid, inept, don't give a fig, or on the shady side?

Businesses write Payroll (FICA) checks to the Feds on a quarterly basis. “Bottleneck” Harry the Reidy bad Senator figured out that if the government only delayed payroll taxes for two months it would cause great harm and confusion with the middle-class small businesses accountants (usually the owner).

Gullible Mitch trusted “his good friend” Reid, and made a “deal.” Reid knew that there are no Printed Government forms for fractions of a quarter, so that would require another supplement bill to pay for the printing of these new forms. Of course, pork-barrel amendments could then be easily added, and more “deals” made.

Gullible, trusting people, such as Mitchie and Jonnie, should never go into politics, as it causes us to be TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We know what Government does, so our job is to make Government as small as possible.

Why should the House pass the Senate bill? The way it usually works is that the Senate bill and House bill are sent to conference to reconcile them and then the bill that comes out of committee is voted on by both Houses. The House passed its bill first.

The Senate hasn't passed a budget in over 900 days. They are so arrogant that they believe that if they pass a bill the House must take it or leave it. The Senate immediately left town after passing its version of the bill. The question is why did most of the Senate Reps vote with the Dems on a bill that was different from what passed in the Rep conrolled House?

it is a DEFUNDING of Social Security.

No, it’s a lowering of the payroll tax. Your money is taken from your paycheck and spent. It doesn’t go into a “trust fund” for your retirement. Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. And the payroll tax is a tax like any other tax. If you want to pay more taxes, be my guest. I for one am glad that payroll taxes will be somewhat lower so I can save more of my own money.

I say they heard from a lot of Republican voters — like me — who said, what the H—, Republicans are going to OPPOSE a tax cut? Republicans are going to take $1000 out of my paycheck next year? That’s not why I vote Republican!

I am confident that House Republicans heard from a lot of voters like me — mad-as-hell, overtaxed GOP voters like me — and they felt they heat and saw the light.

” - - - DEFUNDING of Social Security - - - “

If there is a “Trust Fund” for the Social Security System, then how can it exist when 1.) the Damned US Federal Government goes broke EVERY year?

and 2. The Damned US Federal Government has a total National Debt of 15 TRILLION dollars?

Like Santa, and honor among Democrats, the SSS Trust Fund DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The point is to STARVE, (by reducing ANY tax as all the tax money goes into the General Fund, not a trust fund), the spendaholic Federal Politicians that destroy our money at the rate of 1.7 Billion dollars a day. Well, that is based upon what Timmy Gee, the current Sheriff of Nottingham says.

BTW, since Robin Hood stole money from the Government, so would the Robin Hood of today be the Democrat Party? FDR would disagree, since he was the Father of Socialism in the now USSA, and Socialist can do no wrong - - - just ask any Democrat today.

The evil left is aiming for a totalitarian dictatorship. They want absolute power and they will let nothing stand in their way.

The answer to your confusion is quite obvious -- Boehner like almost everyone in Congress has been compromised. Boehner and others are being black mailed to the hilt. They are mere puppets.

My reading of history tells me that the only way we can ever restore our Republic is through a total economic and/or political collapse, with the hope that enough wise men come to the front to beat back the evil left.

Politically, it can only happen if enough States coalesce and dissolve the power of the Feds. D.C must be financially destroyed to truly rid ourselves of the bloated parasite class. <-- I rank the probably of the political solution at near zero.

I’ll have to agree with both of you.

They are all socialist. So if you accept that, it all makes sense.

That scientific law states: “The explanation that requires the least amount of further assumption of unknown is usually the correct one” or something of that nature.

If you think that there are people in gov. who believe what we do and want to respect the Constitution and not redistribute wealth, then it is almost maddening to make sense of it all.

But if you just accept they all want to bankrupt us and drive us to Euro-Socialism, then well it is easily explainable.

Yes, I know that the payroll taxes that are supposed to go into the SS "trust fund" that isn't, do not actually get into a lock box. However, payroll taxes are paid in to fund SS. Yes, you get to keep a few dollars of your money from FICA; however the money to pay SS recipients has to come from somewhere; so if you buy a house or refinance, about the same amount comes into the govt. from you as a fee on mortgage ins. There will not be enough coming in, as the number buying and refinancing will not equate to the number working and contributing through FICA. Therefore, the mortgage fee will creep up and other "fees" will be found to bring in more money.

If you think this admin. and the Dems intend to let us actually have more of our own money, think again.

Low income will probably be exempt or get subsidized, so working peeple making much above minimum wage will be funding this redistribution in several ways that will make us long for the FICA tax again.

Thanks for agreeing with my tag line.

Read my comment # 21, and go to my flag page, then “in forum” to read a fuller discussion of my humble, but ALWAYS correct opinions on these inter-related topics.

If our freedom of choice is restricted, we are still free to choose, but there are consequences that we must accept BEFORE we make those choices. This is Liberty, which leads to a responsible, and orderly society.

Freedom to do what ever one wants leads to anarchy, because responsibility for ones actions is rejected by the one acting. Such is our status today: OWS, Impeached Zipper-Boy is kept in office, Congress hasn’t had a Budget for over 3 years, Ponzi Schemes include the SSS, Medicare, Medicaid, Obama”care,” etc, etc.

Also, Constitutional checks and balances are no longer used in the damned US Federal Government, bills are passed without being read by robo-voting Congressmen etc., etc.

The point is that the RINOs had the possibility of partially starving the STEELY BEAST of a tax income for a year and they couldn’t follow through.

WE are taxed enough already, so the only way to balance the Budget is to cut baseline spending.

The Damned US Federal Government will always spend more money than it takes in and so it is Damned. When the spending is less than the income, then we will have The United States of America Federal Government, once again restored to the greatness it fell from so many decades ago.

McConnell and Boehner proved themselves to be panty-waisted cowards who have no business being in politics.

Should we boot them out of their elected positions before the National Election, or just insist that they resign their Leadership duties in Congress?

What say you?

Once again, the BOHICA Party sticks it to we, the people. How many times are we going to get it stuck to us before we realize that there is only one party rule and they do NOT represent us?

Congress is a fraudulant, criminal organization engaged in racketeering. Crimes punishable under RICO Act include:
Any violation of state statutes against gambling, murder, kidnapping, extortion, arson, robbery, bribery, dealing in obscene matter, or dealing in a controlled substance or listed chemical (as defined in the Controlled Substances Act);
Any act of bribery, counterfeiting, theft, embezzlement, fraud, dealing in obscene matter, obstruction of justice, slavery, racketeering, gambling, money laundering, commission of murder-for-hire, and several other offenses covered under the Federal criminal code (Title 18);
Embezzlement of union funds;
Bankruptcy fraud or securities fraud;
Drug trafficking; long-term and elaborate drug networks can also be prosecuted using the Continuing Criminal Enterprise Statute;
Money laundering and related offenses;
Bringing in, aiding or assisting aliens in illegally entering the country (if the action was for financial gain);
Acts of terrorism.

They can ALL be arrested under Article I, Section 6 of the Constitution for felonies committed. Is there ANY lawyer out there willing to take this on? Would the FBI file suit? Are we on our own?

It’s very simple. Rat politicians are smarter than GOP politicians.

The GOP will nominate Romney, and Obama will win.

But both parties are controlled by the same people. So, it doesn’t really matter who wins between Romney and Zero.

Our only hope is a third-party candidate. I’m not saying a third-party candidate would win. I’m just saying that’s our only hope.

Both Boehner and McConnell are good examples of men who are not only perpetually overmatched, but men who lack wisdom AND moral courage. I would not want them as the heads of accounting or shipping departments in a mid-sized company, let alone positions of power in a government. That Boehner, McConnell and silver-spoon perennial candidate Mitt Romney continue one day longer in anything other than the rear view mirror of politics show that the precious controlling pimples on the GOP's ass (the Bush Dynasty, Karl Rove, et al) love hapless mediocrities less perceptive than Charlie Brown (who is at least aware that Lucy is likely to pull the football away).

Repeal elections? Resignations? Whatever it takes. Give them plenty of time to play golf with anyone who can stomach their company, but for God's sake, make them go. To paraphrase Talleyrand, "They are worse than evil, they are embarrassing."

The TEA Party needs to be just that.....a conservative, new political party that replaces the lame-ass GOP on the local, state and federal levels.

GOP = Get Out of Politics

All I know is that the payroll tax is being lowered and it was INSANITY for Republicans ever to oppose that.

It is insane not to understand what is happening with the phony shell game. The lowering of the SS contribution (not tax) is using SS as a conduit for another unfunded stimulus bill. It is a scam.

SS is a pay as you go program, i.e., revenue is collected and benefits paid out. Right now SS is running in red and has been since 2010. It will continue to run into the red until all of the IOUs in the SSTF are exhausted around 2036. In order to make up the shortfall, the IOUs (non-market T-bills) in the SSTF must redeemed by the General Fund so benefits can be paid. 42 cents of every federal dollar spent must be borrowed so we are borrowing money to pay the benefits. It adds to the deficit and the national debt.

The politicians say that they will hold SS harmless and pay for loss of revenue by increasing taxes or fees. This is where the real scam comes in. They collect the money and use it for whatever they want over a ten year period while depositing more IOUs into the SSTF to make up the loss of revenue. In essence, this is the same scam that was used when SS was running a "surplus," i.e., revenues exceeed benefit payouts. The politicians deposited the surplus into the General Fund and spent it and issued IOUs in the amount of the surplus and deposited them into the SSTF, which is an unfunded liability that is reflected in our $15 trillion national debt.

So you are laboring under the false impression that you get to keep more of your own money, when in fact, you and your children and your grandchildren will be responsibile for paying it back. This is another scam to fool the people that they can get something for nothing. There is no free lunch. This is the SS Stimulus Bill and should be known as such.

Well said,andwhat I havebeen saying in slightly different words. Anyone who really thinks they are getting something for nothing in this "tax cut", i.e. defunding of SS pay as you go, is a fool. We will ALL make up for it in so many new taxes, we will be broke every day after payday--broker than now, I should say.

You get it.

Well, believe it or not, the reason most of the people rate congress so low is the opposite of our opinion - they think both sides should “work together” more, and they view Boehner and the Repubs as “uncooperative, obstinately, partisan and unwilling to compromise”. Yet we here chastise Boehner as caving and the Repubs for not standing their ground. He’s/they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t.

Source: CBO "Combined OASDI Trust Funds; January 2011 Baseline" 26 Jan 2011. Note: See "Primary Surplus" line (which is negative, indicating a deficit)

Matters are even worse than this chart shows. In December, Congress passed a Social Security tax reduction. Workers are temporarily paying 2 percentage points less, from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent, in Social Security payroll taxes this calendar year. Since the government is making up the shortfall out of general revenues, CBO’s deficit projections for the trust funds do not include that. But CBO’s figures predict that the "payroll tax holiday" will cost the government’s general fund $85 billion in this fiscal year and $29 billion in fiscal year 2012 (which starts Oct.1, 2011.) Since every dollar of that will have to be borrowed, the combined effect of the " tax holiday" and the annual deficits will amount to a $130 billion addition to the federal deficit in the current fiscal year, and $59 billion in fiscal 2012.

Social Security has passed a tipping point. For years it generated more revenue than it consumed, holding down the overall federal deficit and allowing Congress to spend more freely for other things. But those days are gone. Rather than lessening the federal deficit, Social Security has at last — as long predicted — become a drag on the government’s overall finances.

As recently as October, CBO was projecting that it would be 2016 before outlays regularly exceed revenues. But Social Security’s fiscal troubles are more severe than was thought, and the latest projections show the permanent deficits started several years ahead of earlier predictions.

Don’t be confused by the fact that the trust funds are projected to continue growing for several more years. That’s because Treasury must still credit interest payments to the funds on the borrowings from earlier years. But unless taxes are increased or other spending is cut severely, the government will have to borrow from the public to pay the interest that it owes to the trust funds.

And don’t be misled by those who say the system can pay full benefits until about 2037 without making any changes to the law. That’s true, but does not change the fact that Social Security taxes no longer cover those benefits. The government is now borrowing money to pay them, and will do so every year for the foreseeable future. And keep in mind, if nothing is done, when those trust funds are exhausted, benefits would have to be cut by 22 percent in 2037, and more each year after that, according to the most recent report of the system’s trustees. By 2084, the system will generate only enough revenue to pay for 75 percent of promised benefit levels.

That’s how I explain the reason BHO does everything he does and why it’s easy to predict his future actions, particularly his foreign policy. He’s determined to take our country down, both economically and militarily, destroying our alliances and encouraging our enemies.

In our congress, I believe there ARE good, conservative tea party (freshman) members but not yet enough pf them. Just today I saw a clip of Harry Reid smugly saying that he hoped they “learned a lesson today”. We also badly need more of them in the Senate.

” - - - There is no free lunch.”

This is one point that you and I can agree on.

For nearly 80 years, the Socialist/Con-Artist/Snake-Oil sales pitch has been “America will be better off with a cradle-to-grave Safety Net.”

From Northeastern Democrat FDR to Bolshevik Chairman Obama our Socialist Government has gotten larger, and our National Debt has gotten even larger than the rate of growth of the Socialist Wing of the former Democrat Party.

Today, the Socialist Wing of the US Federal Government overspends by 1.3 TRILLION dollars each year, and simply adds it to the National Debt to be paid for by our Grandchildren and their descendants.

These sorry, Federal politicians depend on the fact that we do not Impeach AND remove from office, or recall them.

Jail, of course is out of the question for the biggest thieves that the World has ever known: Elected Federal Politicians.

Due to the lack of curiosity on the part of the American taxpayer, and gullibility on the part of our sorry, brain-dead, Federal politicians, there exists the myth that somehow in a Nation with a 15 Trillion dollar Debt there exists a sacred “Trust” Fund for Social Security (see Reply # 21, this thread).

ALL OF ANY MONEY SENT TO DC GOES INTO THE GENERAL FUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NONE OF THAT MONEY GOES INTO A TRUST FUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THERE ARE NO, OR EVER HAVE BEEN, FEDERAL TRUST FUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE FEDERAL POLITICIANS CONTINUE TO LIE TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A “SHOW ME THE MONEY!” test quickly puts an end to this “Trust Fund” myth for ANY Federal Program.

There are no Federal Trust Funds, Santa Claus, or honor among the members of the Socialist-Democrat Wing of the once proud Democrat Party.

Will the former Southern Democrat Mentality return to the now useless Democrat Party? Let us hope so, as our disgusting RINO Political Party has just veered to the left of the philosophy of the former Southern Democrat Party.

The former proud Republican Political Party morphed into the sorry, “Republicans In Name Only” political party decades ago.

Now with “Leaders” McConnell and Boehner caving in to the Socialists/Bolsheviks, the RINO Party has set themselves adrift from the core values of what was the greatest Nation that the World had ever seen, The United States of America.

This is an excellent time for Presidential, Senate, and Representative Candidates of Honor to run for elected office.

We need some “King Arthurs” to pull the Sword of Liberty out of the Millstone of Socialism that is around the throat of every American.

Today, I heard Speaker of the House Boehner-Head defiantly proclaim “that there would be no more short-term deals.” Right, we believe that as much as we believed the GHWB pledge of: “Read my lips, NO-NEW-TAXES!”

I am reminded of kids in a school yard: “Now you quit it out! This is the last time that I am that I am going to let you take money from my piggy bank without telling Mom! I mean it! This time, I really, really mean it, you, you - - - booger-head!”

FDR’s Socialism has cruelly pierced deeper into the heart of America by every US President who has spent more per administration than the income for that same period, in other words: ALL OF THEM!

So here we are with our Socialist Safety Net, headquartered at 1600 Plantation Avenue, and a Total National Debt at more than 100 % greater than America’s Gross National Product.

Until the National Debt Clock starts running backwards, our SPENDAHOLIC Federal politicians will continue to spend every penny that they can tax us out of.

Thus, the first step is to starve the STEELY BEAST, otherwise known as The US Federal Government, is to reduce income.

The second step is for the damned Federal politicians turn to cut baseline Federal spending, year to year. (see Reply # 31, this thread.)

Yes, the con-artist politicians will go kicking and screaming into their usual hissy-fit, just like any spoiled brat would when his/her favorite toy is taken away.

Graewoulf will be smiling. How about you?

BTW, to clear up one point, in my humble, but ALWAYS correct opinion, any payment that I am forced to pay to any government at the point of their gun, is a tax. Try not paying your “fees” sometime, and then explain to all of us how we differ from the serfs/slaves on the Feudal Lands/Plantations of not so long ago.
