This event occurred earlier today, 12/23/11. Here's the description on C-Span:
Republican 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich held a town hall meeting at the Blue Marlin restaurant. He said that if he wins the South Carolina primary he will be the Republican nominee for president. He also said the people of South Carolina should decide on whether to fly a confederate flag at their state capitol, and he called the tax cut agreement between Congress and President Obama a "failure."

I assumed that if you referred to Newt’s “amnesty” plan, then you didn’t like it. That’s not really an insult. Some are OK with Newt’s approach to illegal immigration, some aren’t. I’m not sure what you’re objecting to.
First off, voting for Newt? I didn’t say that. Secondly, as I recall, McCain was in single digits in Iowa in 2008, and went on to win the SC primary (much to my disgust). I am leaning Newt...just not there (100%) yet. However, I would take Newt over snake oil salesman Romney any day/week/month/year/decade/century/millineum...you get my drift.

It was an easily identifiable error; “you got the wrong person” would have sufficed. But for something minor, you seemed to derive some personal pleasure by whipping yourself into a state of indignation, complete with capital letters & all the rest of it. Hope you enjoyed yourself.
