China launched a super-rapid test train over the weekend which is capable of travelling 500 kilometers per hour, state media said on Monday, as the country moves ahead with its railway ambitions despite serious problems on its high-speed network. The train, made by a subsidiary of CSR Corp Ltd, China's largest train maker, is designed to resemble an ancient Chinese sword, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
It "will provide useful reference for current high-speed railway operations," it quoted train expert Shen Zhiyun as saying.

Not a big deal.. They stole high speed rail technology and quite frankly they did not steal it from us..
Ridership on high speed rail in China is only about 800,000 people per day (292 million per year). That is no more than Delta, Southwest and American Airlines combined. Clearly this is an old, outdated technology that will soon go the way of the horse and buggy.
I rather like the Japanese hight speed trains but I haven’t the same trust for Chinese engineering and construction. Corruption and cutting corners is ingrained in the Chinese crony system.

I am tired of all the China scaremongering which can all be solved by giving up my freedoms and letting Obama and Geithner solve our problems.
China is simply taking advantage of the problems we have created for ourselves. Lets focus on the here and now. Lets drill, frack, build, invest, buy, and sell freely and let each individual keeps the rewards of his own efforts free from government interference. do that and China will be a footnote and just a highly useful supplier to our Liberty loving Capitalist machine.
