Palestinian state would expel Jews
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | 12-26-2011 | STEVE HUNTLEY

Buried in news stories about the conviction on a former president of Israel on rape charges was a telling insight into the Jewish state: The three-judge panel that convicted Moshe Katsav and the three-judge tribunal that rejected his appeal each had a justice who is an Israeli Arab.

Arabs make up 20 percent of the population of Israel, and, as the Katsav story indicates, they are able to play prominent roles in the country’s governmental life, including service in the Knesset.

Hundreds of thousands of Jews live in communities in the disputed West Bank territories. To Israelis, the West Bank is known as Judea and Samaria, reflecting its crucial role in the ancient and modern history of the Jewish people. If a peace settlement is ever reached — a big if given the history of Palestinian intransigence — could some Jews living in the West Bank choose to opt to remain and pursue their lives under a new Palestinian state?

No, according to Maen Rashid Areikat, the representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization to the United States. In a recent meeting with the Chicago Sun-Times editorial board, he condemned the Jewish residents of the West Bank — he put the number at 550,000 — as unlawful settlers and declared that all of them must leave as part of any Israeli-Palestinian settlement.

Areikat did acknowledge that a settlement would involve “minor” land swaps that could incorporate some of the communities in Israel. And he did say that at some point in the future, Jews might live in a new Palestinian state.

THEY'RE ALL "PALESTINIANS"! Especially the Jews.

If anyone should be expelled it is the moslems, from both Israel and the territories.

There should be a huge and heart wrenching exodus (oh boo-hoo) of "poor-victim refugees" as Israel evicts the murdering bastards and drives them back into Egypt and Jordan where they came from.

This is a very important point. Next time you meet an academic or other liberal who feels for the “poor Palestinians,” remind them of this.

Living under the Palestinian Authority for Jews or Christians would be like living in any homicidal regime.

But a settlement would require Jews living in the Palestinian-governed West Bank to leave...

Guarantee that palee negotiators would insist on a specific direction that Jews MUST leave... generally to the West. Some Jews might not be forced to move West... for example, those in the Southern part of Israel would be "encouraged" to move Northwest instead. A few really lucky Jews would move north east (see map, to find out if you are one of these lucky guys).

Not really. Syria Palestina was a Roman invention, reborn in British nomenclature.

I think it is safest to say that the “Israelites” have ALWAYS (well, since a few years after the Exodus) lived in Israel, which comprised Judea and Samarea - the “disputed” territories.

Moreover, in speaking of the Diaspora one might ask: where are the Jews of Syria today? Where are the Jews of Iran / Iraq? Jordan? What property rights or national rights were accorded them? None. They were enslaved, killed, or managed to escape.

And now the world wants to remove them from what remains to them - a portion of their ancestral homeland - less than 1% of the landmass of the Muslim Middle East!

Laughable. Jews are like olives: the harder you press them, the richer and stronger they become!

The world finds these two peoples as morally equivalent.

If that.

I could be wrong, but last time I saw Israelis leave fertile, productive territory to Arabs it became a barren wasteland. So who will feed these destroyers? Never mind.. we would.

One condition to any process should be no US aid for you, ever wou Not even laundered through the UN. They wouldn’t last a decade.
