When Santorum drops out he’ll endorse Gingrich. Mark it down.
So will Perry. Not so for Bachmann. She’s told too many lies about Gingrich and sold her soul to the devil for a vote.
She’ll crawl back under the rock she came from.
Gingrich will win both SC and Florida. Then he’ll be right back tied with the liberal for the nomination.
All they’ve gotten a good look at when it comes to Newt are Romney’s unethical lies. Newt as a late surger has had a money problem, being unable to counter Romney’s false “four-Pinocchio”-certified ads effectively. My feeling is Newt’s saving his money for SC and FL where he has the chance to pick up more delegates after other candidates have dropped out of the race. THE PROPORTIONAL DELEGATES COMPLETELY CHANGE THE STRATEGY THIS YEAR! Since these states aren’t winner-take-all, it isn’t worth fighting with a large number of other candidates for a small pie of delegates in a small state.
Newt/Santorum has been the ticket I’ve been looking for for a few weeks now. Santorum doesn’t have the gravitas to carry the ticket, but is reliable enough to trust as a V.P. and can help win PA/OH more than any other candidate. Santorum should use this traction to strike a deal with Newt to be his V.P. and then drop out of the race and endorse Newt A.S.A.P.
Don’t blow my high. I’ve already settled on Marc Rubio as VP.
I’m not a fan of the GOP nominating politically inexperienced, green freshmen to the top of national tickets for reasons of affirmative action or otherwise. Rubio and West might be great candidates someday but let them face reelection once or twice before they’re considered.
