Breastfeeding mothers staged a "nurse-in" Wednesday at Target stores nationwide to show solidarity with a Texas woman who said she was ridiculed for breastfeeding her baby at a Houston store.

Michelle Hickman organized a Facebook campaign to call for the "nurse-in," which took place in several US cities including Houston, Knoxville, Tenn., and Decatur, Ill.

About 50 nursing mothers showed up to protest at the Webster, Texas, Target store where Hickman said she was harassed last month, MyFOXhouston reported.

Who wants a young girl with tattoos, punctures through their tongue, and other places who curses like a sailor, and more than likely is bi-sexual.

Seems that there are more and more of them appearing.

I nursed all 5 of our babies and never once had the need to nurse one in public. I planned my errands around the babie’s meal times.

Romance is filled with mystery and awe. Marxists remove mystery and awe and destroy Romance. Great Russian authors, once prolific, are now rare.

There can be no Romance in Marxist states. That is what ‘sex ed’ in schools is designed to do-—destroy the mystery and awe and respect-—for the opposite sex. It also removes morality from the sex act. Makes it meaningless.

Literature like Romeo and Juliet could never be appreciated—that longing and desire which doesn’t exist in Marxists states-—The Brave New World. (Feel good, do it.)

You pop a pill for whatever. Viagra-—it is truly a creepy and ugly world the Marxists want for our children. They remove the wonder and awe and hope in life and respect of the opposite sex.

I foresee a time in the not-so-distant future where women will be allowed to be topless in the same places as men.

Respectfully, at the present and under existing law, it's frequently not a case of 'allowed,' it's a case of 'choice.'

Many courts have held that public nudity laws only apply to genitals, not breasts.

Women can legally go topless (in other words - not nurse, but shop topless in Target) - in a number of states.

Some won't surprise you. It's legal for women to go topless in the District of Columbia. And since 1992, it's been legal for women to go topless in New York unless local laws also prohibit men from going topless. There is no state law in Texas, Colorado, Hawaii, Ohio, or Maine that prevents women from going topless. A court in Florida has ruled a woman had a First Amendment right to go topless on Daytona Beach.

I understand modesty, but I will say that I don't believe that breasts are our enemy.

I've been in exotic tropical locales where breasts were uncovered - old breasts and young breasts. White breasts, yellow breasts, cocoa breasts, brown breasts, and black breasts. It didn't cause me to lose my morals or conservative views. I don't recall raping anyone or doing anything of a sexual nature with anyone other than Mrs. Scoutmaster. By the third day, I'm embarrassed to say . . . umm . . . I kind of quit noticing, and that was when I was young. In large numbers and out in the open, breasts aren't nearly as appealing as eyes and smiles and personalities.

And I've been in art galleries where the ratio of naked breasts to painting seemed to be more than 1:1. I even had my kids with me. And they're productive members of society.

So . . . I think this woman has issues and that she could have and should have been discreet.

But breasts are our friends and not the enemy. And there's no need to make a big deal about small breasts. Or big ones.

"But breasts are our friends..."

And I think that's something that we can ALL get behind ... uh ... get a good grasp of ... uh ...

... nevermind ...

Yes: America’s women are becoming more and more like Prostitutes and less like ladies every day.

It’s a damned shame.

We have feminazi’s and our public schools to thank for it.

It isn’t the older women alone who are suffering from this. Girls get m,arried now at a much older age than they used to and the marriages last less time.

Boys may use them , but they don’t marry them.

Men are looking for something better., and good women are harder to find.

Where do they shop?

Yep...I’m thinking lots of guys with cameras and a quick linkup to www.HotNursingMILFS.com might dissuade participation by said moms.

I think somone smarter than me simplified Ben’s advice.

They don’t yell, they don’t swell, they don’t tell, and they are grateful as hell.

Kinda crude though, but humorous.

In all sincerity, feminism ,politeness, graciousness, just being a lady, are rapidly becoming lost options.

PS: There is nothing sexual about watching a woman breastfeeding an infant.

Yep...I thought the same...although these clowns DID call the local TV stations to promote their cause.

Perhaps the key is to find some legal behaviour that offends them and do it in front of their homes, etc.

I agree completely. It's one of the most natural and beautiful things there is, in context. If it needs to be done in public it can be done discretely.

I meant what I said about about breasts not being the enemy, but I will admit I was taken aback once when a braless (as I found out) woman in an Applebee's simply removed her t-shirt, folded it, and placed it in the booth beside her when it was time to feed junior.

Maybe she was uncomfortable just lifting the t-shirt (and I'm going to fight the urge to tell you I noticed without wanting to that she wouldn't have had to lift it very far), but it seems as if it were more of a statement and a display than a natural act of breastfeeding.

But I wasn't her. Or her child. Or her breast. Or the other shocked diners, particularly the mothers who were trying to keep their kids from pointing as they were asking questions.

And the tattoos and attitude do not go away by 35, so old vs young is a false choice. It’s bad versus good, and I dearly wish I knew where to find the good ones...

Problem is, that’s not something that easy to be modest with..... I have seen several women expose nipples while feeding in public, most of the time not on purpose, just a consequence of juggling baby, bag, blanket, purse, etc.... It stands to reason there will be wardrobe malfunctions... Just take it to a dressing room. It’s very simple.

It is possible to sit in the Mall and breast feed a baby without anyone walking by would even notice. But if you want your titties to hang out thats another story.

One can try to schedule feeding time but it doesn’t always work that way....When my daughter was a baby, I got into an accident in the K_Mart parking lot...some one backed out and T boned me. She wanted a police report and my milk came in while sitting in the back seat of a cop car...pretty wet by the time I got home....milk comes in on schedule when you do it right. Mine was every 4 hours no matter where I was...

Yep—I remember those days, though the memories are getting cloudy all these yrs later——which is probably a good thing—LOL!

By the time the 5th one came along, I pretty much did all my shopping after their dad got home from work and could babysit them while I was gone.

I guess it all worked out okay—we just celebrated our golden wedding anniversary....

it’s very easy to be modest. Most normal nursing moms pull it off without people even realizing it.
I don’t know how many times I’ve made small talk with someone at the mall, and then been surprised to see movement underneath a shawl.

Dressing rooms are not always available, and if a woman can manage to plop down in a chair can keep everything covered, she shouldn’t get harassed.

I do think there are whackos who insist on exposing themselves....I’m not supportive of them at all.

I’m used to seeing nursing moms in church, so I’ve become accustomed to it.

Going shopping was great..no kids going off in 4 general directions...it was the pause that refreshes. And you were all alone...loved it...:O) We were married 33 years when hubby passed away, but that was 20 years ago. He was 19 and I was 18 when we married. We just grew up together...
