I used to live in Pasadena and I’ve been to the parade a few times.

Everybody at the parade knows that the people who come right after the last police cars are the weirdos.

This won’t help Occupy a bit. Usually it is the “repent now— the world is ending” people on bicycles. So this year, it will be the Occupy people. The audience is overwhelmingly families. They will not be interested in Occupy, or will think it’s funny/pathetic.
