The idiocy of this is completely beyond my comprehension. We are spending money to have govt employees (who are in theory here to enforce immigration laws) help them to file a lawsuit against those nasty law enforcement officers who detained them and may want to actually send them back home. Just for starters, we have the money to waste on this where? We’re f’ing broke and we pay govt employees with retirement and benefits to assist criminals to ensure that their ‘rights’ haven’t been violated. This crap has just got to stop.
To: Nachum
They probably will register them to as voters at the same time. This government has betrayed the legal citizens of the US.

This is about voter fraud and nothing else. Without illegals casting votes, Dear Leader will be back in Chicago ripping off taxpayers on a much smaller scale.

Folks, everyone should get on this hotline and pretend they are illegals. As you read, this hotline is available 24/7 for detained individuals to phone if they think they may be U.S. citizens or victims of a crime.
What a crock because it is not going anywhere. It is all talk.
Put on you best foreign accent, real or invented, and start phoning in.

Is there a hotline for people killed and maimed by illegals?
Of course not. I would expect nothing less from someone born in another country, raised in another country and trying to present Hawaii as his ‘home’.
Fraud.

American citizens can be held without bail or charge. Illegal aliens have a hot-line to get help.
And, the beat goes on.

A little off topic, but it did catch my eye. Today in 1845, Texas was admitted to the US as the 28th state. I noticed this odd sentence under the Wikipedia entry for 12/29:
1845 In accordance with International Boundary delimitation, U.S.A annexes the Mexican state of Texas, following the Manifest Destiny doctrine. The Republic of Texas, which had been independent since the Texas Revolution of 1836, is thereupon admitted as the 28th U.S. state.
Maybe my history minor needs a little updating, but I don't see how an independent nation, Texas, could be a state of another nation.
Should I call the hotline?
Is that a local call in Texas?

I don’t know if this is possible, but we need a class-action lawsuit against the govt filed by every individual that was harmed, either physically or financially, by an illegal alien.

Texas became a state by treaty. A treaty of admission was negotiated and ratified by both the U.S. and Texas governments. Texas is the only state to enter the U.S. in this manner. As a result of the treaty, Texas retained ownership of all its unincorporated public lands at the time, i.e. the entire western portion of the state. The oil which was later discovered there benefited the state government immensely and built the University of Texas system which today has the second largest endowment behind only Yale I think.
