Here's the Link to the full "report card", showing all the candidates. That C- grade of Romney's is a big reason why many will end up supporting him in the general election. Being the strongest "leader" candidate on immigration will score him big points with a lot of people. He's already at well over 70% on Intrade, which means he's likely got the primary in the bag thanks to his support by the establishment, if something major doesn't change soon.

Solution to Illegal Immigration:
1. National Project to build double fence. Work 24/7 with contractors and army corps of engineers. While construction is happening patrol the border with NG,Army USMC units armed with lethal and non-lethal weapons. Install cameras day/night and radar which can see a few miles into Mexico,to provide early warning of approaching groups of illegals, so we can be ready to intercept them.
2. Train border guard in ambushes,use of automatic weapons,grenade launchers,etc.. police/paramilitary training — depending on the threat they will use lethal or non-lethal means to stop/repeal or arrest invaders.

3. AFTER the fence is complete,announce amnesty: All illegals in the next 3 months who appear in-front of Immigration receive an ID card valid for 30 days until their voluntarily departure from US at the full expense of US Tax payers. All illegals who arrive at airport to leave US, have all their crimes of illegal entry forgiven and allowed to apply for legal entry to US from their home country. They also are given $300 (as incentive to leave) cash and boarded on planes. Leaving voluntarily is much cheaper for US,this is why we should encourage it.
4. Illegals captured after amnesty are treated like criminals,put through the “system” and forceful evicted from US by INS,they forfeit right to get back to US forever.
