In recent months, a curious argument has surfaced in favor of US President Barack Obama. His supporters argue that Obama's foreign policy has been a massive success. If he had as much freedom of action on domestic affairs as he has on foreign affairs, they argue, his achievements in all areas would be without peer.
Expressing this view, Karen Finney a former Democratic spokeswoman who often defends the party in the US media told the Huffington Post, "Look at the progress the president can make when he doesn't have Republicans obstructing him."
*******************
According to a Gallup poll from early November, the US public also believes that Obama's foreign policy has been successful. Whereas 67 percent of Americans disapproved of Obama's handling of the economy and the federal budget deficit, 63 percent of Americans approved of his terrorism strategy.
*******************
These support levels tell us a great deal about the insularity of the American public. For when one assesses the impact to date of Obama's foreign policy it is impossible to avoid the conclusion that if the US public was more aware of the actual consequences of his policies, his approval rating in foreign affairs would be even lower than his approval rating in domestic policy.
*******************
...Republican presidential contenders would provide an invaluable service to both themselves and the American public as a whole if they make exposing Obama's disastrous stewardship of US foreign policy a central plank of their campaigns.
At a minimum, forewarned is forearmed. And the dimensions of Obama's failures are so enormous, that it is clear that the American people will suffer their consequences for years to come.

Lots of stuff our fearless leaders do don’t have immediate ramifications, but felt they will be. Problem is, the next president (who will be a republican) will bare the burden of the blame with the MSM and the cowardly left.
They will be felt, alright. But the human costs will be paid by those that have sons, daughters, parents and spouses in the military. And that does not generally include liberals so they don’t care. (The dead military were likely conservative voters anyway so it is better to proactively kill them so they don’t soil the voting booths.)
Republicans tried to fight the war on terror, but it took Obama and his policies to get Bin Laden.
When the last republican was in office, we were attacked. With Obama in office, we have been safe.
This is what the citizens see as reality. Most people really don't care about Sudan or Egypt or Lybia or other foriegn places that have little impact on their daily lives. War and peace, destruction of our enemies, being safe, this is what most people care about as far as foreign policy goes and this is why Obama has huge approval ratings for his foreign policy. Whether these things can be directly attributable to Obama or his policies doesn't matter, he is seen by the people as successful in these areas.
The world is still suffering from the foreign policy f*ckups caused by jimmah cahter. owebama’s f*ckups will be even worse.
Allahu Akbar,
a-Q, The Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas and our Brothers in arms.
It does seem that the GOP is as anxious to occupy the White Hut as one would be to use the stall where some big fat guy has just worked off his Taco John's special.
Anyone truly qualified to be President is too smart to seek the job.
Candidate Obama was presented to America as a Christian, although most of the facts showed him to be a closet Muslim.
No Christian would have made this "mistake"!
President Obama's foreign policy has been very successful if he a Muslim president who bears allegiance to Mecca and not America.
We allow politicians to get away with telling lies because "they all do it".
My tag line says it all!
9/11 was carried out by Arab Muslim militant immigrants let in by loose immigration favored by Democrats.
Obama probably had nothing to do with Osama finally being taken out, Clinton had the chance to take Osama into custody prior to 9/11 and didn't.
Nice try blaming the Republicans for everything though.
Sadly a lot of what you state could probably explain a good bit of Ron Paul’s popularity. People know he’s nutty but they also find at least some agreement with him. Unfortunately the GOP has adopted a slash and burn strategy of simply calling him and pretty much everyone who agrees with him even a little, wrong.
I think the GOP would do well to tone down our global involvements a bit. Use our own oil, surround Israel with a defensive ring of steel and screw the mideast.
They already have exploded for a lot of Copts and other Christians in the “Arab Spring” regions.
Um.... prokopton’s post was reciting what the MSM has been spewing and what the sheeple believe to be true.
I don’t think prokopton was drinking the kool-aid or believes any of that drivel.
I’d say the events in Egypt, Yemen and the bug out in Iraq are going to be explosions soon. We are pulling back and ceding hard won ground in Afghanistan, plus Pakistan is likely to blow sky high soon. Obama’s foreign policy is pandering to the worse elements abroad and making the USA into a punching bag. Not approving the Keystone pipeline is a mistake too.
Polls are falsified. The news is "spun" and one sided. The public to an extent may be brainwashed by the liberal media.
So your analysis may be what part of the public believes.
Kill all the Christians and Jews is the goal....anyway you can. You even kill your own to achieve domination. Abominable people.
Exactly - his record of supporting Islamic tyranny is far worse than Jimmuh’s. This needs to be repeated again and again...he’s fulfilling his promise to stand with the Muslims, against America, against civilisation, against freedom.
