Thank you Mr. Obama and your friends at the EPA.
$4 gas helped elect Obama $4 gas will defeat Obama.
Isn’t it wonderful how the Democrat Party/Obama regime treats the American public? Maybe gas will be $6.00/gallon by election day in November.
Obamas Energy Secretary Steven Chu wants to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe. At the time he made the statement, gas cost $7 $8 a gallon in Europe
Meanwhile, this country is exporting gas at a record rate.
Is there any truth to the rumor that if the pipeline is built from Canada tar sands to Texas it is going to be shipped to China? And would it be the oil or gasoline? And if gasoline, why would we want to tie up our scarce refinery capacity to produce gasoline for China and drive up our own prices? More information definately needed!!
The the political weenies and tree huggers are destroying this country
I think that what you heard is that Canadian oil is going to China if the Keystone pipeline is not built.
I don’t think so. I do know that if the pipeline is *not* built the oil will be sold to China. That will free up a lot of Iranian oil so we can dump the current boycott restrictions on Iran and buy it ourselves.
It is unimportant where the oil is used. All oil is sold on the world market. There is no such thing as “american” oil, “chinese” oil, etc. It all goes into one big market and is bought & sold in US dollars no matter where it is produced or where it is used.
What matters is that more oil is produced which will bring the cost of oil down. Supply and demand. It’s even better if more oil is produced in america.

I found this last week.
For years, the only gasoline the U.S. exported was to Mexico -- which was a contract arrangement in exchange for Mexican crude.
The only reason we're exporting it now (and it's not much) is because U.S. consumption has declined -- and refineries have to run at or near-capacity to maintain production efficiency. And, at that, it's being exported to the Caribbean because there isn't enough pipeline capacity to ship it to the Northeast.
It's not feasible to ship gasoline from the Gulf to the Northeast via tanker because US law requires all shipments between US ports to be carried in American flag bottoms with fully unionized crew.
Because of that, it is more efficient to export the Gulf's excess to the Caribbean and import gasoline into the Northeast from, say, Nigeria.
In other words, it's not a nefarious plot by the evil oil companies...
Imagine that coupled with the photograph of the PM of Canada shaking hinds with the Chicoms over their new "Pipeline to the Pacific" deal.

It would be a secure pipeline adding about 6% to U.S. supply we wouldn’t have to buy from the Saudi’s or Venezuela. Not to mention at thousands of high paying jobs.
We B savin’ da planet doncha know.
