I bet Israel would also love us not to sell weapons to the camel jockeys. We sell new F-15s to Saudia Arabia. Those machines last a long time. Anyone care to guess what the Saudia government will look like in 15 or 20 years?
What happens when the royal family loses it’s ability to supress the wahabbis?
They are constantly living two months away from a fundamentalist revolt.
How about all the money and weaponry we are pouring onto the Egyptians? How much have we given Pakistan? The PLO?

I bet if Israel could get a deal where we stopped supporting their enemies, and them simultaneously,, they’d take it.

Excellent point - but then whose side is the American Govt. on any how? If we were trying to de-escalate the situation, we wouldn’t be doing what we’re doing.

This reminds me of a time back in 1969 when my husband was a flight instructor for the Air Force providing the first classes in single engine props. He instructed men from lots of countries including Egypt and Iran — when the time came for them to solo, it wasn’t a pretty sight. I seriously wonder if anything has improved that much and whether the Saudis, Egyptians, and Iranians, etc., have pilots and technical positions filled by proxies from Russia.
