I'm no former Mormon. I do read history. There's no history of baby sacrifice in Mormon temples.
Until the 1990 change in the Endowment Ceremony, Mormons were required to swear an oath that they would slit their throats and bellies before/if they told the secrets of the Ceremony. This was accompanied with slashing motions across the throat and bely. Mormons on FR who are in their early 40's or older know this, because they had to do it.
When the 1990 changes were made, this was one of the things that was removed because, frankly, people were creeped out by it. The 1990 change also removed the part about Protestant ministers being paid by Satan to preach any gospel other than the LDS Gospel, although this teaching still is part of the writings of the church and appears on the www.lds.org website.
Would you like hyperlinked cites?
What about JFK?
You may be onto something with the ghost writer. Or at least someone is feeding her lines from SLC.
Elsie for accuracy! Great correction.
All of a sudden, every day will be bet you didnt know THIS about Mormons day, for nine weeks, 24/7, until Obama is safely re-elected.

BINGO! And quotes like this one from Orson Pratt will come out (one of my favorites)...
That vegetables as well as animals have spirits, is clearly shown from the fact that they have capacity for joy and rejoicing.... We are compelled to believe that every vegetable, whether small or great, has a living intelligent spirit capable of feeling, knowing, and rejoicing in its sphere....
This is the origin of spiritual vegetables in Heaven. These spiritual vegetables are sent from Heaven to the terrestrial worlds, where, like animals, they take natural tabernacles, which become food for the sustenance of the natural tabernacles of the animal creation. Thus the spirits of both vegetables and animals are the offspring of male and female parents which have been raised from the dead, or redeemed from a fallen condition.... Pratt, The Seer, March 1853, pages 34, 38; July 1853, pages 102-103; see also Doctrine and Covenants 77:1-4.
hen one week before the election three of four former Mormons will swear that there was baby sacrifice in the temples.

Show me where one ex-mormon ever claimed anything CLOSE to that. Your implication is that Ex-mo’s lie about Mormonism and we don’t. There is enough garbage in Mormonism as it is.
However, back before the changes a few years ago (2005), there was some brief nudity and anointing of body parts with oil and water. They gave you a ‘shield’ which didn’t cover much and you were touched through slits in the side.
I took out my endowments just prior to the 1990 changes. I can source that as well.
Ignore her, she has been accusing us of lying on another thread - this is just an extension.
Perhaps God will use this election for his good. If Mittens is nominated and Mormon beliefs are exposed it will lead thousands out of the church and to a saving Grace in Christ?
Just a thought.
Also much more dangerous. Christan isn’t nearly as embarassing as ‘moron’.
I have considered that but discarded it for a couple of reasons. The MSM will use the problems (understatement) of Mormonism to keep Mittens from getting elected. But he is so liberal, and the PR machine in SLC SO good, that it will probably have the opposite effect and get people to join Mormonism, which is exactly why I believe the last LDS prophet was so behind Mittens (Hinkley).
Mormons have been leaving in droves. By their own admission growth is as zero percent and that is after they tweak the numbers (think jobless numbers by the US gov’t). I know a lot of people in ministry to the LDS and pastors of churches in Utah and they all say that their churches are growing at an amazing rate and well over half are ex-Mormons. There is even some ex-mo discipleship groups starting and I am working on a discipleship manual for Christians to use with their ex-mo friends.
Taking the revivial in Utah into account, Mormons NEED the good PR that a Mormon presidient will bring. Right now they are mostly downplaying the White Horse Prophecy (even though there is a lot of evidence for it) but if Mittens gets in, then all that will change. All of a sudden it will be “Look Joseph Smith had the prophecy in 1844 and it came true! The Church is TRUE, this is proof!” Never-mind that the prophecy was given about Smith’s run for POTUS in 1844 not today. The LDS NEED something to keep members from leaving, to keep their faith in ‘the Church’ and a Mormon president will be just that ticket.
Now, I'm actually blessed. My grandfather never said anything crazy in his life (the other died before I knew him). And a lot of grandfathers say a lot of crazy things.
But vegetables have a capacity for joy and rejoicing? Spirit veggies are sent from heaven? And Romney got his genetic material?
Mitt is from Parley Pratt’s side, I think (Orson’s brother) but Parley was a character as well, murdered for taking an already married ‘plural bride’ (some say against her wishes), IIRC. Also, Jon Huntsman is from the same line.

Shudder, Mormon genealogy STILL gives me a migraine (it did when I was Mormon too).
Now, I'm actually blessed when it comes to ancestral rantings. My grandfather never said anything crazy in his life (the other died before I knew him). And a lot of grandfathers say a lot of crazy things.
But vegetables have a capacity for joy and rejoicing? Spirit veggies are sent from heaven? And Romney got genetic material from this guy?
How did I post before I posted? Did the three Nephites do it for me?
LOL.
Spirit veggies breathes a whole new life into ‘Veggie Tales’.
LOL!
What????
There's something I'm missing NOW???
Ooops!
I'll bet you REALLY meant to say anti-mormon!
Just because our GOD can say it's OK (in certain instances) for a MOTHER to KILL her not-yet-born (if you pray for it rightly), it SURE don't mean that we do it in the Temple®!
Nominated - not elected...
