Personally, I seriously hope that Romney doesn't get the nomination. He is slicker than snot! ....And...I have been very curious about why there has been either silence about his religion or rather favorable articles.

My conclusion:

The Anointed Elite want Romney to be the candidate. The Anointed Republicans because they **believe* in the ole’ boy Ivy League network ( secret fraternity handshakes, frat pins, and all). The Anointed Marxists because they know that Romney's liberalism coupled with his Mormon weirdness will make him completely beatable.

My prediction:

Two nanoseconds after his nomination it will be non-stop anti-Mormonism. This religion will be made to look like something out of this world ( like Kolob maybe”?) Bet on it! Anything printed or reported by the Marxist media will make anything found here on the Free Republic anti-Moromism threads look like amateur sand lot leagues.

And...Marxist Annointed Media **will** find disaffected Mormons who **will** claim the most horrific outrages. ( True or not) These outrages will be painted in the worst possible manner. And...They will make up outright lies, too, that will only be corrected months after Obama is re-elected. They will be printed on page 57 of Section E of the Sunday edition. ( I'm guessing someone will claim baby sacrifice in the secret temples. But..Hey! Who know? )

Romney is completely beatable. **That** is why all these puff pieces on Mormonism or complete silence about it. The “Powers That Be” want Romney as a candidate.

I posted what I meant: anti-MormonISM.

Why?

Because I do not believe that you and others are against the people in this religion. I seriously believe that your argument is with the religion and its leaders. You do not strike me as being anti-Mormons at all.

You should change that picture to Ezra Taft Benson - in his case it was literally true.

Big red flags started going up for me when the ‘brethren’ kept saying how Benson was ‘under the weather’ and loved us all and wished us the best and gave a statement for them to give. THEN, the next week his son, Reed, is crying in his office to me about how his dad doesn’t even know who anyone in the family is. That is when I started to think they might be lying to me (yeah, I know..)

You are dead on right about that.

Respectfully, two-seconds after his nomination it could also be "let's learn about the religion of our nominee," with actual information from www.lds.org instead of LDS public relations. And no judgment about what's said, just laying out the actual information.

May people may be turned off by blatant Anti-Mormonism and it could help Mitt. But the way people may react to simply laying out Mormon teachings and history could be much, much worse for Mitt.

I always bring up my best friend, one of my Assistant Scoutmasters, who is LDS. He hates Romney. Then again, he's more conservative than I am.

I’ll bet you dollars to doughnuts NRO endorses Romney.

They are unwilling to give his record any scrutiny. They treat Mittens like the rest of the media treated Zero. My guess is after they hung out with him on the cruises they are constantly pumping, they are too emotionally attached and unwilling to maintain conservative journalistic integrity or they subscribe to his brand of socialism.

Yeah, but who on the more conservative side is worthy of the nomination? Perry? Gingrich? Santorum?

Any are better than Romney.

Romney and Obama have the same positions (based upon record...not just rhetoric). Both support:

Gay marriage
Socialized medicine
Individual mandates
Appoint liberal judges
Global warming hysteria
Pro-choice legislation

Both refuse to support states like Ohio when they stood up to public unions

Romney defines the rich at $200k in his plan, while Zero defines the line at $250k.

If it walks like liberal/socialist and tries to talk like a conservative (this election)...it must be Romney.

the fault is more Romney coming from the Northeast, where the conservative movement is dead. But if the choice is Romney and Obama, I must vote for Romney. I will not waste a vote on a third-party candidate nor will I cast a blank ballot.

Let's hope it's not Romney.
