Mr. Holder argues that voter ID laws disproportionately discriminate against poor blacks and Hispanics - citizens who cannot afford to acquire a driver’s license, passport or other form of photo identification.

But not poor whites? Oops! Holder, you tipped your hand, you racist bahstid. Eithersacks and Hispanics (whatever the he;; that means)are stupid or this is just another "hate whitey" moment.

This is nothing but a straw-man argument put up by the RATs every election.

What's really sad here is that people fall for it. It baffles me how

That people are falling for it is also a straw man! The Zedia (or zombie media) likes to pretend that people are falling for it. I'd betcha a donut that if you did a man on the street poll, asking if having an ID to vote is a good thing, the overwhelming majority would say yes.

My understanding is that photo ID must be shown in UNION elections.

If true, does that mean the unions are disenfranching their minority members who for some unbelievable reason do not have one? (I guess they don’t drive, don’t shop, don’t fly, don’t leave the country, etcetc).

If he does it will be due to massive voter fraud which the DOJ will ignore!

I know of several people that HAD TO relocate to find employment;some had no choice to leave they’re homes;some leave a tenant in they’re homes and the rent check bounces. Most leave and have to short sell. As they are turned upside down in a new life/town/moving expenses; getting new license plates/licenses/registration at the cost of a couple hundred dollars, is the last item on the list of bills...

Therefore they will not bother to vote as they are watching the third or fourth job they have gotten’s company slow down-A G A I N.All of this because an asshole POS Obama is choking small business and skilled jobs. These people are disenfranchised as they are too broke and tired to vote.So Eric Holder and Obama’s illegal Mexican voters and supposed ‘poor’ people have full refrigerators from they’re government tit cards. They had Christmas. They are NOT disenfranchised-but the struggling people that just want to work and earn they’re way surely are!

*** Can somebody explain to me how the Justice Department on its own can block any State law? ***

It's pretty much in the first paragraph. When it comes to voting the DOJ has the authority to approve or reject any new voting laws in states covered by the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Basically that's all states in the South that were part of the Confederacy but still had 'Jim Crow' laws that prevented Blacks from voting until the '60's. Like Poll Taxes or Literacy Tests. Though from what we've seen Literacy Tests should be MANDATORY for all. Even those running for office -- like Dog Catcher in Podunk, population 123, or certain Congresswomen from Texas (Where is that US Flag we planted on Mars?) and Kalifornia.

Anyway, all new voting laws in the covered states must go through the DOJ for review, approval or rejection. It makes no difference what was voted on in any election or passed by any State Legislature, the DOJ has final say per 'The Act'.

Try getting on a plane or cashing a check without photo id, but the far more important right to vote requires nothing; not even proof of citizenship. Holder is a race-hustling enemy of all free people.

Will there, definitely, be a ‘12 November general election? Between now and then, anything can happen, especially if the left is in any danger of losing their power over everybody else.

Democrats accuse others of what they are actually already doing themselves....no one seems to get that though!

Oh, there's many folk about on FR who get that. Psychologically, it's called 'projection.' When we yell at each other about it instead of yelling at the Progressives, that's called 'displacement.'

I wondered what Hollywood was thinking when they totally rewrote The Manchurian Candidate; then Obama ran for President. They ALWAYS TELL US, man. ALWAYS. We need to listen.

“Mr. Holder argues that voter ID laws disproportionately discriminate against poor blacks and Hispanics - citizens who cannot afford to acquire a driver’s license, passport or other form of photo identification.”

Thats funny, they sure as hell can afford cigarettes, alcohol, multiple cell phones, gold teeth, the latest threads and shoes, the biggest rims, and loudest radios in their cars but cant afford the $25(+/-) for a license.

In most places you have to show a photo ID to buy cigarettes, alcohol, cash checks, etc, etc. Yet these slackers cant whip out an ID before casting a ballot?

That idiot holder is so full of crap that its literally dripping out of his ears

So it has become discrimination to demand fair elections, that the citizens of a state are voting once and in the right location.

It appears that the Democrats believe it is not discrimination when citizens given up the right for their vote to actually matter, that it be diminished, awash in a sea of illegal and illegitimate votes.

Just to get into the Houston BARC animal shelter a photo id is required.

Photo id and drug test SHOULD be required EVERY month to get a welfare check.

How goes it, out there on The Mother Road?

Some crazy socialist-Marxist took over the steering wheel and he's hell-bent on driving us over the cliff, eh? It's getting complicated trying to pick out the best replacement driver, so why don't you just take a poll of the '98ers and get back with me on which one we should go with. It sure would make my life easier! Just as long as it's not Romney. Besides being obama-lite, that phoney shyster really gets on my nerves.

It's really good seeing you again!
