HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) -- Police have released surveillance video of a person of interest believed to be connected to the recent rash of car fires in and around the Hollywood area.
LAPD officials said Sunday that they would like to question a suspect described as an older white male with a receding hairline and shoulder-length ponytail.
He was caught on tape, wearing a full black outfit, leaving the scene of a car fire Saturday night inside the parking structure at the Hollywood and Highland complex.

I’d be looking at sociology professors in the area colleges. You have to have a long gray ponytail to be a sociology professor. If you don’t have one, you won’t even be interviewed. You have to buy a clip-on.

Person of interest with that description on the west side? Narrows it down to 4-5,000.

Could be Latino, Asian or White. The shorts say Latino. The hat or haircut says white. The tennis shoe type says moron. Looks like they purposely blurred the top half of the image for some reason. His bottom half has a tighter focus then his top half.

I believe the person of interest is the guy behind the kid in shorts.

Have you heard any one express thoughts about why they aren’t hitting black neighborhoods? Coincidence? I haven’t heard anyone even speculate. Fairfax, Wetside, Hollywood, Valley?
Well that is even worse. He could be middle eastern and he is completely out of focus.
It’s not the guy in the shorts it’s the guy next to him in the full black outfit as mentioned in the article. The arrow is clearly pointing to him not the guy in shorts.
Reread the article, and you appear to be correct. They state he is an older man. Cannot see his pony tail. But quite frankly, that older guy up above appears to be a professional operative to me. Just an impression. Working for some government or professional organization. He has a lot of purpose and planning in his walk and dress. The young guy appeared more Occupy Whatever to me.
They could have referenced the arrow in the first couple of paragraphs. Looks just like a loose windows mouse pointer to me. I always ignore those :> Thanks for the correction.

Thanks for that link. He is not 6’ 2”. And he has an unusual walk. He leans to the right and left with every step. Definitely not the barrio walk. It is an unusual walk. He looked behind when he got out of the stairs. Was also stepping up two stairs at a time. In a big hurry. That has to be the main suspect.
Is it because he is heavy? I could see it that way.

I agree the gait is purposeful.
It reminded me of someone, and for a while I could not place it.
I saw that gait ironically, on an episode of the travel channel with Andrew Zimmer, where he was staying with and living with a bush tribe.
Near the end of his stay there, the local tribe held a roast. Not a cooking roast. They were roasting the film crew - making good natured fun of their mannerisms. One lady’s role was to imitate Zimmer.
She adopted a wide armed, exaggerated way of walking which looked exactly like that.
Only time I remember seeing someone walk just that way.
Not sure what it indicates.

Did find a note about people with Alzheimer's walking with a lean. But he looks to young for that.

It was a bush tribe, who based upon their own experiences as a native people, looking at a film crew from a culture far away they may have never been to, and finding their ways humorous.
So the tribe was very elaborately exaggerating everything they observed in their visitors. There was even a tribe member imitating the sound guy, with an imitation boom mic, scrambling after him.
Some of the funniest television I’ve seen in truth, but I digress.
I don’t think Zimmer walks that way, but the way the tribe imitated him, seems to be a bit like that photo. Like the saw something in it, which overlaps somehow?
Figure out the cultural background of Zimmer’s ways of doing things, which are obviously Americanized - go back a generation or two.

Really ? Do not normally watch the MSM. An Occupier attacking the 90 % car owners ? Hard to get close to the parked cars of the 1 % in Los Angeles at night. They are usually behind gated walled communities with security guards present.

But the real joke here is the absolute horrid quality of the video.
He looks right in the direction of the camera in the last frames.
At any rate - We should expect Islamic attacks from Iran through Venezuela. The leaders of Iran have indicated that our homeland is a viable target. They have indicated that they will close the Straits of Hormuz if additional sanctions are applied. Obama just applied additional sanctions. And Chavez recently accused the US of giving him cancer. The cards are all on the table. Just waiting for the betting action. At any rate, we have seen increasing numbers of white and black Islamist attacks lately. They have the advantage of flying under the radar.
Either this guy really hates cars or he is Islamist or he is an Occupy Looney Tune. His success in this large number of attacks, does not point to him being a looney tune. He appears to be a finely tuned arsonist machine.

How could all these fires be set so close together and all they have is a blurry image of ‘a person of interest’?
Since the obvious reason is the perp doesn't want to get shot, I doubt they will say a word.

Sea legs are possible, but he did not have that dizzy in the head manner when he jumped up the stairs. My 2 cents is that he is loaded under that coat. Arson tools, guns or possibly a bomb or two. That makes him very heavy. So stuff is hanging on his sides. Good news if they did catch him, but he does not look like the type who will be caught alive. Or if they do manage to catch him there is no way they can let the world know his true identity. Too embarrassing for our Glorious Leader.
