Blanchard police responded to a home invasion Saturday. Chief Walt Thompson said Justin Shane Martin, 24, of Blanchard, was shot and killed after breaking into a home.
Too bad she didn’t get both crooks.
This poor woman! Who knows what this guy would have done if she had been unarmed. I hope she has some close family members to help her during this horrible time. Just losing your husband, alone with an infant, and the fear she must have gone through before defending her life and her child’s life. Prayers for her.
“Blanchard police responded to a home invasion Saturday.”
They were a little late for that because she took care of the problem herself. When seconds count police are only minutes or hours away.
I would re-write that sentence more accurately to say,
“Blanchard police responded to an attempted home invasion Saturday by picking up and hauling away the garbage that did the attempt.”
I do hope some nearby neighbors give or loan a pistol to her to carry and take her out to the range to learn how to use it since that other vulture is still lurking out there.
The good news is they caught the other guy. If I knew how to post a pic I’d do so. A big fat piece of disgusting trash! The poor girl has tossed her sofa, that was bloody, out into the yard. I hope someone hauls it away for her. She said she was going to stay in her home! What a brave young woman.
Pure evil. I hope the one that lived gets to experience all the karma he’s earned for the rest of his hopefully short and miserable existence. Or he could just kill himself.

Yes, the other guy is in jail but he’ll get a slap on the wrist and be back out on the streets in short order. I want want her to have a pistol to carry considering that the recidivism rate for criminals is about 65% within three years. He’ll be back so she better be ready.
Don’t worry on that account. The other burglar will now face homicide charges over the death of his accomplice. Hopefully, seeing this story, she will also receive some community support.

Hopefully, he'll have many years behind bars to reconsider. With her story, he'd do better admitting guilt to a judge and bypassing a jury.
LOL!
