SIERRA VISTA The Cochise County Sheriffs Office is requesting the communitys assistance in solving a burglary that occurred at a Sierra Vista business sometime Sunday, between 1 and 8 a.m.
The Mountain Vista Trading Post on North 7th Street in Sierra Vista was burglarized when someone forcibly entered the building through the front door of the business.
The owner has advised us that numerous items were taken and that the initial assessment is at least 62 different firearms were stolen, along with ammunition, said Carol Capas, public information officer for the county sheriffs department.
We have several leads, which we are actively following.
Because of the significant number of weapons that are now out in the community, this burglary is a huge concern for us, Capas said.
We are making it a priority to follow every lead in order to apprehend those responsible for this.
While the sheriffs office is continuing to follow leads as they come in, deputies are asking anyone with information to call 432-9500. All information received will remain confidential
I doubt the weapons are still anywhere near there. In past, robbery gangs from California have hit gun shops in Phoenix, at least once using a stolen vehicle to drive through the front wall. Guns were then loaded into a second vehicle and then the thieves left the city with dispatch.
I would immediately contact the BATF-
as persons of interest.
Good one Yankee
Where was Eric Holder when this happened?
New Year, BATF wants the photo op with a bunch of guns on a table.
They use this every year and MSM are always ready to take pictures and help the BATF get their new budget approved.
Nothing new here.
Wait until it’s blamed on the slow down of F&F.
Concerning sixty-two weapons, the most obvious point of interest would be the federal DOJ.
Check Eric Holder’s stash!
The BATFE is mostly interested in harassing or killing U.S. citizens they can readily identify and find and who were subects of various dubiously-purposed sting operations perpetrated by BATFE. Contacting the BATFE would only serve the purpose of identifying you as a potential future target.
People read this who wouldn’t necessarily recognize your post as sarcasm.
