A bit touchy, are we? Instead of reading the headline, why don't you view the video. Palin simply stated reality (i.e. single digit polling in her must-win state = just not her time). She was not being negative at all.

If he comes out of Iowa with a surprising or especially first place finish (anything can happen in a caucus) I would not be at all surprised if she comes out afterwards with an endorsement of Santorum. If so it's going to be an interesting week with lots of exploded brain matter (from crania on the right and left) covering the floors of newsrooms and studios from coast to coast.

She may have a lot of respect for Gingrich but his mixed signals on AGW and other issues, beltway insider and multiple divorce personal past, and age when he's standing on a debate stage with Obama all make him a very large target for the inevitable media attacks. Plus (just my opinion), her personal leverage will be at its maximum early in the process rather than late. Especially if it will have any chance of keeping Romney from getting the nomination.
