GOP Candidates Cannibalize Each Other in Iowa
Yahoo! ^ | Jan. 2nd, 2012 | Sherry Tomfeld

Posted on 01/02/2012 3:57:27 PM PST by stillafreemind

Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney are arguing like girls on the playground. The USA Today piece is funny, but it shows the absurdity of meaningless rhetoric. Voters who knew and understood Herman Cain's 999 plan may be left to wonder what Romney and Gingrich stand for except attacking each other, and defending themselves. Iowans do not like candidates bickering with each other.

Those living in Iowa will understand when I say "YIKES! Enough already!"

The phone is non-stop for the last three days. And the majority of candidates/campaigns are refuting something that has been said about them. I'm ready for tomorrow night and get this over with.

did you hear about the two cannibals at the campfire? One says, “I hate my mother-in-law!” His friend replies, “So, try the potatoes.”

We need to change our primary system and make it a single day event nationwide. It would let the candidates spread out across the nation and campaign to their strengths while preventing the media from pitting them against each other.

Not my original idea: The Republican party = a circular firing squad.

It appears to me that Ms. Tomfield is pro obama and is belittleing all the Republican candidates. I’m tired of “journalist” working to have an effect on the outcome of the process. That also goes for Charles Krauthammer’s suggestion that Marco Rubio would be Romney’s veep, just trying to help Romney in Florida. I know that Newt said Sarah Palin would be considered as his running mate, the difference is that this was in response to a question.

” Iowans do not like candidates bickering with each other.”

Iowans like their a*s kissed every four years.

If they really don’t like this stuff so much, they wouldn’t have laws making sure their vaulted caucus was always first!

Iowa and New Hampshire cling to their “first in the nation” status like grim death.

All the commotion and upheaval comes with the territory.

Exactly. Everyone should get to vote for their favorite on one day and it’s over. No more draggin it out over months until the whole country is just plain sick of it.

Yahoo News is extremely biased, almost an arm of the DNC. Their headlines often have a very different slant from the actual article which must be reached via link.

I knew it wasn’t a good idea to have all of those “debates” with all of our buffoons standing up there on stage screaming “Bite Me!” at each other. They should have stuck to clobbering Barry with their rubber chickens.

Bigger question is if a third party candidate gets in, will the R candidate care about the country enough to drop out for either Paul or Trump? Knowing that either Trump or Paul have such egos that they are willing to run on Soros’ behest, the real patriot would be willing to drop out and give one’s support for the **stard who runs selfishly as the third party candidate. It’s easy to dismiss what I’m saying, so if it irritates you, please reread what I am saying here. I do despise both of these dirtbag, treasonous dorks but such a plan would be thwarted and prevent Obama from ruining the country IF THIS SCENARIO played out.

I’ve never read an article from Ms Tomfeld that was pro democrat or pro Romney. I believe she was a huge Palin fan and maybe a Cain supporter.

I really don’t know if Yahoo is any more or less biased than anyone else..so I can’t speak to that.
