The first poll of the year shows Americans think Hussein is a joke. A bad joke.

Stupid rhetorical question of the day: will the press declare this to be a trend, an inexorable downward spiral just as they declared a recent uptick to be the beginning of a comeback for the Scarecrow in Chief?

During Christmas break he was at -12, but I think it had more to do with people who dislike him being more likely to be away visiting family and unable to be polled, than any actual change in national sentiment.

That may have been one of the reasons. Perhaps the Christmas bounce also had something to do with the spirit of peace on earth, good will toward men. During the Christmas season, many people seem happier and more content than at other times and that may have affected the polls. Looking at
the trends, the Christmas bounce was rather clearly an aberration.

So much for the ‘surge’.
I’m waiting for the ‘unexpected’ news that Christmas shopping was flat this year.

This is as bad as b.o. has stunk right after Christmas.
I think the masses are more charitable during the holidays.
I thought it would take till Feb. for him to get back down
to the -20s.
Fantastic!!!

"During Christmas break he was at -12, " For whatever nonsensical reason, he'll be back at -12 within 10 days or less.

I wanna see a new record of -25.
Now that would start the year off right.

a poll last week showed that Obama was rising in popularity, and was actually in positive territory, with more approving than disapproving. And the talking heads on TV were gushing about how Obama was up in the polls, etc.etc. Now we’re back to -20 territory????
I never understood what happened to the Tucson bounce, or the jobs speech to Congress bounce, or the Bin Laden bounce. Any bounce in the polls for Obama sure doesn’t last long.
To: Rannug
Polls are useless, beyond looking for general trending.
The last (automated, phone) poll that I took was on gay marriage. I said that I was against it, then told the pollster I was a 20-29 year old female lesbian artist whose income was over 500K/year.
I'm sure that I'm not the only one who screws with the results.
