Patrons at a Cheyenne Starbucks got more than a shot of espresso Monday morning, when a gun inside a girls purse fired inadvertently.
Though several people were reported to being inside the coffee shop at the time, there were no injuries. The single bullet, which fired around 7 a.m. Monday morning, reportedly went through a chair and into a wall, narrowly avoiding many customers.
Police officers were at the Starbucks at the time and say the girl, who is under 18 and has not been identified, was cited for possession of a firearm by a juvenile which carries a $750 bond. The juvenile has since been released to the care of her parents.
The gun had been given to the girl by her father who encouraged her to carry the firearm for protection. Police reports indicate that she had received no formal firearm training.
I think a folding stock would just make it more likely you’d knock your glasses off and be unable to hit the side of Hoover Dam. (Maybe I’m projecting here ...)
Thank you for assimilating me with the correct information.
Wrongthinking is futile.
Laz’ graphic needs the instant rocket launcher attachment to the bayonet in honor of Holder and Obama’s “Fast and Furious” scandal where they insisted that the rocket launchers, heavy machine guns, and other material were being bought in the US from mom and pop firearms stores.
That’s a hysterical graphic. The bipod is nice touch.
True, true. With the rocket launcher, it might do some good if I actually hit Hoover Dam. Or I guess that would be bad, come to think of it ...
I too whine about folding socks. I hate it. LOL!
front pocket ,strong hand carry is probably best. unless you forget and put keys and crap in the same pocket as the gun.(or you’re REALLY forgetful and tend to forget to wear pants)
LOL!
I like to think I did my small part in disassembling gun control efforts by mocking them -- an Alinski technique.
Ooops!
Not too smart dad. If you get your girl a gun, make sure she knows how to use it.
What if they get weaponised?
We need regulations on folding socks!
/ bad joke.
“when a gun inside a girls purse fired inadvertently.”
Not physically possible. I do not know of any documented case of this actually occurring. Some outside force (a person) had to inadvertently fired the gun
“The single bullet, which fired around 7 a.m”
Again not very likely. The single bullet which WAS fired..
I am positive the writer never held a firearm in their life....
Where can I get one of those slides with the picatinny rail?
Lazamataz’ GUNS-R-US.
I want one of those. But with a silencer.
The girl drives an SUV.
On the other hand... "Police reports indicate that she had received no formal firearm training".
It is entirely possible that Dad did give his little girl instructions, and maybe even had her at the range a few times to the point where he felt comfortable that she could handle having a gun. He is probably embarrassed as can be. Thank God there was no freak tragic accident.
