Wasserman Schultz: Clinton 'absolutely' won't be on 2012 ticket
The Hill ^ | January 3, 2012 | Daniel Strauss

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in no uncertain terms, shot down the possibility that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would be on the 2012 Democratic presidential ticket alongside President Obama.

Wasserman Schultz said "absolutely" that Obama would run with Vice President Biden in 2012.

"I'm a hundred percent confident that Joe Biden and Barack Obama are gonna run together as a team," the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee said Tuesday on MSNBC.

She said "no" directly in response to a straight question as to whether Clinton would be on the ticket instead of Biden.

Clinton has repeatedly said she plans to leave public service after her stint as secretary of State. Nevertheless, speculation has continued that Obama could regain some of the supporters he's lost during his first term by replacing Biden with Clinton.

Biden himself has shown no sign of leaving his current role and has also refused to definitively close the door on a 2016 presidential run. He's said he wants to focus on reelecting Obama right now and then face the 2016 question later on.

Relative to other Democrat possibilities for Vice President, Hillary Clinton is looking pretty damn good right about now.

Which means one of two things. Either she told Barry to take a hike or she’ll be on the 2012 ticket.

I don’t see how adding Hillary as VP helps Obama. Any votes she’d bring with her he’s got already.

Plus Slow Joe is such an asset to the administration.

(I’m done being sarcastic now.)

You’re probably right. I have a hunch though that The Won doesn’t mind having a do nothing VP that puts his foot in his mouth often, it takes some heat off him.

I she has her way, she will be on the Ticket as VP.

Obama would be insane to put her there.

With Hillary as VP, Obama would be out of office and Hillary would be President within a year.

Does this mean she will refuse to seat any delegates that show up wearing “Obama-Clinton” campaign buttons?

That she will declare any motion to put Hillary’s name in nomination for VP out of order?

She should make it more clear whether she’s speaking as DNC Chairwoman or expressing her personal policy preference.

Well, that guarantees she will be Obama’s VP candidate since you can’t believe a word she says...and, it depends on the DEFINITION of TICKET.
