It doesn't matter if Mitt Romney wins the Iowa caucuses tonight. He is about to experience a severe political hemorrhage over his refusal to disclose his tax returns...

In the end, Romney can release his tax records while Obama releases his college grades, thesis paper, etc. And those have nothing to do with birtherism. To say that calling for the release of those records is birtherism is using a sweeping generalization, as they have nothing to do with birth records, though Romney is too weak of a candidate to say this or fight for this.
What say you?
Lanny, the Hillary butt boy speaks.
I must have missed something in your post. Who in the MSM or which Democrats are calling for Obama to release his college grades and thesis paper?
Romulus needs to release his tax records. And Freddie Newt needs to release his detailed records of his work with Freddie Mac. Both need to release the details.
This isn’t even relevant. Candidates generally release such records when they win the nomination, not after they win Iowa. In 2008, Obama didn’t release his until late March.
Whoever the nominee is will almost certainly release their tax records in a few months. Absolutely nothing of any consequence will happen tomorrow regarding tax returns.
Lanny Davis is also a complete moron.
Like I said, now is not the time for ad hominem attacks, though I certainly don’t care for or support Lanny’s political positions. Ad homs don’t change anything. Romney can do his part while Obama releases his college grades, thesis paper, etc.
I agree on both counts. And Obama needs to release his college grades, thesis paper, etc, too.
What poof does Lanny have that this will matter at all in the election?
The rats have their moles working inside the IRS. It is only a matter of time before the GOP candidate’s confidential income tax records are released. Ask Bill Simon. He was the GOP gubenatorial candidate in California a few years ago. Parts of his audit file mysteriously appeared in the press a few days before the election. Ask Joe the Plumber.
Amen to that, as well!
Baloney. We can do better but this won’t send Romney under.
Not just Obama’s college grades - We want to know about his grants and other aid, his status as a student (foreign student), where he lived, etc. We want this information all the way back to high school, but especially for Occidental and Columbia. We also want to know exactly how Obama managed to gae accepted at Harvard Law School with NO obvious qualifications. Was he a “guided” acceptance, and if so by who? There are stories, Harvard can and ought to release the truth for all to know.
Whole we’re at it, how about a genuine, non-Photoshoped long form Birth Certificate? Is that too much to ask?
Until Obama comes clean, there is no way that the Dems have any credibility to ask for anything of the Republicans.
I am saying that if and when the MSM comes after Romney on this, Romney needs to ask for Obama to release his college grades, thesis paper, etc. But Romney never would, regardless of the circumstances. He is too weak of a candidate to muster the courage to even call Obama a socialist when talking to O’reilly.
Romney’s IRS file WILL be leaked. It’s the Axelrod M.O. Romney should get out in front of this, and say “I’ll release my IRS returns and college transcripts if Obama will release his transcripts and student aid forms. If Obama is SOOOO smart, this shouldn’t be a problem right?”
WHEN his IRS forms are leaked, he should then call out Obama as a coward, and hand over his transcripts and say, “THIS is how a MAN acts instead of a worthless coward that hides behind lawyers and a sycophantic media.”
He won’t do it though, he’ll play the Dubya type go along to get along punching bag. It’s why they’re called the stupid party.
As much as I despise the anti-RKBA, socialist leaning, big-brother loving liberal Rotney, and that ‘s quite a bit, I still respect the American right to privacy.
So I have no need to see any candidates tax returns in order to decide who I support.
Many corporate records are publicly available via stock holder reports, SEC filings, etc., if anyone really thinks a candidates business dealings are any of their business.
Yes the whole situation regarding Columbia is interesting. He did not graduate with honors, we know that. Yet, he was accepted at Harvard. Why?
Yes...............apparently.
Didn’t Clinton “choose” not to release his taxes during the election because it showed Hillary’s fraudulent commodity trading gains?
The candidates didn't do them ~ their tax accountants did.
Why did they accept a guy who can claim the Founders in his ancestry?
Granny knew that. I knew that. You didn't know that?
He's a special TWO FER ~ a minority Founders Legacy.
His daughters can join the DAR BTW.
I’m at a loss as to why anyone would care anyway. Everybody knows Romney is wealthy.
This is likely just more idiotic blather. Where I live Davis is always on the morning shows for some unfathomable reason. I just can’t stand the guy.
The OBAMA campaign has stated that they will go after Romney and Lanny Davis is just announcing that the attacks begin immediately.
No need to attack Lanny or the Dems. This is going to be their strategy—attack the competition on their personal flaws because they can’t defend the actions of Obama.
So if he were white would he have been accepted? Even with lackluster grades at Columbia? Did he graduate with honors from Occidental?
I was recruited when I made a perfect LSAT score AND I'm one of those legacies ~ lots of Harvard grads in the line all the way back ~ many of the same folks as Obama.
I didn't go there. BTW, I was recruited by Columbia even earlier coming out of highschool. We couldn't come to terms on how much they'd "contribute".
I never was a Romey fan, but I would cheer if he simply flipped Lanny and the media the bird and told them the records would be forthcoming just as soon as he sees some paper, any paper, on the current homesteader in chief.
Did Kerry and wife Theresa Heinz Kerry ever make their tax records public? How about John McCain and his rich wife Cindy? Politics has increasingly become a rich man’s and possibly woman’s game.
No one gets elected without big bucks. Perhaps it’s more healthy to vote for those who have inherited or earned their own megamillions than to vote for those who have not. Obama, for example, was so obviously a wholly owned subsidiary of someone. But it’s difficult to track that someone.
Part of Romney’s appeal is the fact that he’s turned around failing businesses and might be considered a financial genius. What could be better for the financially failing country? Ideology aside, of course.

As a life-long bookkeeper, there is a difference between “turning around a failing business” & buying a business, piecemeal selling off all the assets & selling the use of the name to a competitor.
Mitt absolutely did not have a policy of ‘turning around’ a business.
Many were canibalized...especially older businesses where the book value of the machinery & other assets were very low. The value of those assets creates a profit when you sell them for ANY amount of money when the BV was ZERO or almost ZERO.
Another ploy is to take over a business that is in it’s 2nd or 3rd generation of family, where the astute business sense and the willingness to work VERY hard attributes of the founder hasn’t been genetically passed on to the heirs.
Estate taxes of family owned businesses are also a target for such companies as Mitt’s.
The estate taxes force the family to sell the business for a hurried and sharp price reduction——just to pay the IRS estate taxes. A family dairy in So Calif—Jessup Dairy—was just such a victim.
In comes a company like Mitt’s & they buy at fire sale prices, break up all the assets, lay off the employees & sell the BONES of the company at a profit.
Mitt’s bottom line looks good. But how does he get there????
Ask the Jessup family how they feel after 2 generations of building a world class dairy business.
