Perry scraps South Carolina schedule

Des Moines, Iowa (CNN) – Rick Perry's "re-assessing" phase will apparently last through the remainder of the week.

After his disappointing fifth place finish in the Iowa caucuses, the Texas governor has scrapped his entire campaign schedule and will return to Austin to ponder whether to forge ahead with his bid.

Santorum has a ground organization in South Carolina. His social conservatism and economic populism will go over well with Palmetto State voters.

If she doesn’t drop out it’s basically an admittance she’s nothing more than a Romney stalking horse. Wasn’t there a rumor she held her fire on Romney since he offered her VP? Regardless, if she can only get 5% in IA, she’ll be in Huntsman territory everywhere else, so she’s not much of a factor anyway.

Not a fan of Perry, but thought he'd have the backbone to stay in it longer.

As Governor though, he's never faced a serious campaign challenge. In 2002, he had no Republican opponents and the Democrat had already been destroyed by a fellow Democrat. In 2006, Perry's only Republican competition was a secessionist who didn't crack 10%, and then he faced a clown car full of single-issue/limited candidates in the general election. In 2010, the only Tea Party challenger shot herself in the foot, Kay Bailey Hutchison couldn't run a competent gubernatorial campaign if her life depended on it, and the Democrat was a Clinton insider.

Bachmann needs to do the right thing, too, for the Party (vanquish Romney and RINOS), and for the country, (defeat Obama, restory sanity).

I truly hope she does the right thing and visions of having the Oval Office to her own do not keep her head in the clouds. The Conservative side of the house cannot go on much more being split five and six ways, against a Leviathan of a Romney, the US Mass Media, the RNC, toadies and sycophants like Rove and Ingraham, and the Establishment. This fine woman has a lot of work ahead on Capitol Hill to do, or even in a Republican cabinet from 2013, no doubt about it. She is also relative young and can run for President again, they don't all make it on the first try, and rarely directly from the Lower House.

Bachmann turned me off with some of her vicious/idiotic attacks. They weren’t made to boost her, they were made to drag other candidates down. Lot of folks are not going to easily forgive her for the “6-6-6” crap. That kind of crap reeks of amateur hour. It did more damage to her than her opponents, because she was burning bridges with potential supporters with that crap.

If Algore decides to run for president again, Perry can be his Texas campaign chairman.

Oh, wait, Ricky Ricardo already tried that.

Perhaps, since it’s flu season, how about some forced vaccinations.

There are a lot of things the Rickster can still do to ruin people’s lives, so, we shouldn’t feel too sorry for him.

He’s probably on the horn to Jerry Brown right now plotting their next move.

Yeah, the calling of Cain’s well-intentioned “9-9-9”, as “6-6-6” by Mrs. Bachmann was really crappy and creepy and below the belt, and you know were Herman to go on to the GOP nomination, the Dems would have pulled that crappy rabbit out of the hat many times in attack ads till kingdom come. She cannot be easily forgiven for that, I think she stepped in it more times than I can count. She will make a good Congressperson (maybe in charge of a cabinet agency to dismantle), but not more than that, for now it seems.

Somebody said that she did not intend for the response or association that the "6-6-6" attack garnered, but I don't buy it for one moment. She's not dumb and she's a Christian - she knew what she was doing when she made that association. Cain supporters won't forgive her, just as Perry supporters won't forgive her for some things.

As soon as the liberal media start with the “dead baby” story, and start playing the video of Santorum talking about black welfare recipients, he is done.
I’m surprised they are not running those stories yet, but I think they are waiting to give him the “Cain treatment”.

Rick doesn't spend his own money. That's big pay to play crony money won for political favor. Also, that $817.00 figure doesn't include the millions in taxpayer money spent to support and protect this grifting fool while he's been on this joy ride with Anita.

Anyone who watches and listens carefully to the “black welfare recipient” video will realize that he said nothing of the sort. The story is a fabrication by CBS with the specific intention of smearing Santorum.

The only ones that will believe CBS are the ones who are too lazy to watch it themselves, and the ones who are already inclined to believe any lies that they are fed, especially when race is involved.
